Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Pats like to play everything close to the vest.

I think typical OC duties are going to be pretty split between Judge and Patricia, just like they've split up the defensive side of the ball in the past.

The Pats also have a storied, successful past of getting coaching results from people who specialize on the opposite side of the ball.

Belichick has always coached his QB's from a defensive perspective. "Hey, here's what I'd do to stop you as a defensive coordinator. You're likely to see these coverages, trying to disguise as this..."

So, having Patricia do the same for the offense isn't really out of left field for them.

But heck, it's the Patriots. If you told me Patricia calling plays in camp and their media reporting it was just to throw off other teams, I'd believe you. If you told me Judge was really calling plays and Patricia was just communicating them, I'd believe you. Never take Bill at face value.

I get what you're saying and maybe this will end up being a complete rope-a-dope situation, but by virtually every account the Patriots have had the worst offensive training camp and preseason they've ever had under Belichick.

We all know who's calling the shots in New England...

Some pundits had him as the #1 back in the class.

Happy to say I was calling him as a huge bust before the draft, after the draft, and all the way right up until today.

He went 1.07 in the rookie draft of one of my dynasty leagues last year, ahead of Waddle, both Moores, and Bateman. Embarrassing.

I had no stock in Sermon last year.

I wanted him though. I didn't think he was as good of a runner as Javonte, but I thought Sermon and Herbert could both be really productive in a one cut outside zone scheme.

Landing in SF? That's the ultimate landing spot. The best run scheme in football, and his talents aligned perfectly.

I'm glad others outbid me for Trey. I dodged a bullet.

Had shares of Khalil Herbert everywhere and it worked out well.

Sermon was the guy I nominated in auction drafts when I needed to go take a piss. :chuckle:

I can't wait to actually draft this year.

Last year I blew my wad fast, and had to get 13 $1 guys.

In a draft with 240 picks, I had zero cash to spend after player #53 came off the board.

Trevor Lawrence, Aaron Rodgers, Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown, DK Metcalf (and Mike Gesicki at $4) was quite the haul though.
