NFL Off-Season Thread

The main question will be if his jump in throwing accuracy was a one year fluke or a trend.

Seriously, dude has such a tight spin but last year it all seemed to click consistently.

He’s truly the outlier of guys who “find” better accuracy after getting drafted.

His arm mechanics were always there, the footwork was often pretty garbage in school, but he had no real coaching until he got to the league.

He worked with Jordan Palmer leading up to the draft, as well (and I think during his time in the league).

It’s just tough to see them taking a step back this season with how good their OL is.

He’s well protected, and much like Baker he’s returning a core unit he’s developed a pretty good connection with that has good rhythm and timing.

Doesn’t hurt getting four games against Miami, NYJ. They also get Houston, NO, Washington, Jacksonville, Indy and Atlanta out of conference.

May need to wait until the postseason to see just how real they are, but if Allen does fall back this year it likely won’t be because of their schedule strength.

I wish i was right on Josh Allen, I dont want him to be good, but I dont see any reason he regresses. That is a solid team in Buffalo. I just hope we dont have to go through Buffalo AND KC to get to a Super Bowl, rather see one take out the other. I think with the Browns, those are the 3 best teams in the AFC. I know I am not throwing a major hot take out there with that, just think general consensus is right on this one.

FWIW, the team accomplished what they did last year despite substantial regression on defense (regression that happened despite running back nearly the best D in the league.)

They also get to play the NFCS instead of the NFCW.

They will always be around, for sure. They'll be a playoff team for the next 10+ years. I just don't see them breaking through as currently constructed.

This is the main thing I was considering. I just don't see Allen completing 70% of his passes again.

Gulp, good news for Colts, but it’s a ton of money for an ILB.

One of the five best corners in the NFL, imo. He’s crucial to Philbin’s man-to-man coverage scheme. They had to keep him happy.

This is a guy who hasn't signed hi big rookie extension right?
