My only point was that the Browns sucked this season.Exactly
And we are in position to add even more significant talent than they were and we don't need to add as many pieces as they did. We have a better O-Lin than they did. We have more talent on our D-Line than they did before they added Calais Campbell and Malik Jackson. Their secondary was basically Jalen Ramsey who they drafted the year prior and Tayshaun Gipson (lol) They added Church and Bouye in FA.
I get it though. It's easy to just point at the win totals and lol and make all the woe is me jokes but there was a point where JAX looked like the best team in the AFC this year. You can argue that if they had Nick fucking Foles instead of Blake fucking Bortles that they would've been in the Super Bowl.
Point is this. Yes we went 0-16 but our record shouldn't make it harder to drastically improve. JAX proved that and yet here we are with a better FO, better draft compensation, and more cap. Are you saying that we can't add significant talent? Even after our new GM has already stated to anyone who will ask him that he's going to spend money and add talent to this team? Even after he's assembled one of the best FO's in the league? Wouldn't you agree that everything we've done this offseason has shown that we plan on adding significant talent to this team?
The only thing that I'm concerned about is Hue Jackson. I'm not concerned about the players. They play hard. We have some talented guys. I'm not concerned about Dorsey or his guys finding talent. Everyone he's hired has a proven track record of doing that. I'm not worried about Todd Haley and to an extent I'm not worried about Greg Williams (I know). I'm really only worried about Hue Jackson.
Sure, if everything goes right this offseason like it did for the Jags, we could see a drastic turnaround.
