NFL WEEK 9 (11/03/13): Ravens (3-4) vs. Browns (3-5) [4:25 PM EST, CBS]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I didn't think Campbell would be as bad as many thought when he was riding the pine. He was reasonably successful in Oakland before we blew out his shoulder. I didn't think he'd be this good however. He's been playing great in these 2 games. There is no way he continues throwing 3 TDs and 0 picks per game but it's been fun to watch and I hope he can continue to impress.

I never thought Weeden played well, but I didnt realize how bad he was until we had Hoyer and Campbell playing back there. Campbell played really well this game, but just by doing things like getting plays off in time, throwing halfway accurate passes, and having a positive TD to INT ratio; its revolutionizing this team. Campbell definitely did a few things that Weeden could never have done, and between him and Hoyer, I'm slowly becoming okay with the fact that we're not going to have a top 3 pick for QB. I'm also thinking just sign someone to be 3rd QB so they can learn the offense in time for Weeden to never touch the field again.

D came up huge in this one, 5 sacks, for tackles for loss, and basically forced them to go one dimensional. Was nice to see that Bess was able to bounce back with three huge plays.

4-5 at the bye is pretty much as good as anyone would have realistically expected at this point.

I agree. I really didn't get the whole "there will be no difference" and the "he blows as well" attitudes. NOTHING could be worse than Weeden, so why not give it a try? This team is pretty damn solid with a competent QB...

I was there, froze my fucking face off but was well worth it.

It's just Jason Campbell has been really bad before. Like, real bad. But, yea, underestimated just how much worse Weeden was/is. Really, just running the wildcat all game would be better than Weeden.

Who were the guys that said we'd win 7-8 games even after the 0-2 start?

Me and Amherst?

We are Gods.

Yeah I can roll with that. I think that was my main thing. Weeden was just so bad.

Anyone that missed the game, if someone, someway, you can catch a replay of the game. You've gotta see the screen pass Weeden threw. It was so bad. Bullet pass from 2-yards away.

Ravens safety James Ihedigbo had a jawing match with wide receiver Greg Little throughout the game. It got out of hand when Little ripped off Ihedigbo's helmet, which drew a 15-yard personal foul. "He's trying to be a tough guy," Ihedigbo said. "Some guys who aren't tough try to prove that they're tough."

Tough shit, loser.

Huge psychological win. Not only did this game prove Haden's bulletin board material correct, but they won by beating the Ravens at their own game. They shut down the run and harassed the Qb. Flacco looked more like a rookie than a Superbowl MVP. They've split with the Ravens, they're 1-0 against the Bengals, and still have two games against the Steelers. This was a major confidence booster and now the rest of the North is on notice.

But is that with or without Weeden at QB? Because I think we'd still have 1 win if his clumsy ass was still under center.

Am I crazy to think we will be very competitive and possibly win 6 of those 7 games?

I see one team I feel overly confident we beat, and six that I don't.

However, it's hard not to finish well within your division if you go 3-3 at the worst, which I think is achievable. If we go 4-2? That's 2-2 down the stretch, puts us at 6 wins, seven with Jax, and eight if we beat one of NE/NYJ/CHI.

Eight wins would be damn nice.

I'm not looking at the schedule. We just have to take care of business week to week. We need to gameplan hard for the Bengals. We have a bye this week, and hopefully they can scheme something nice. I'm going to that game so I can't take a loss in cincy territory.

Thank God Weeden isn't playing. He is a fucking dumpster fire. I wonder if he is confunded about Jason Campbell's flip. That's how you do a flip, the player is close and relatively up field with no one around. Good play by Campbell.
