I said before that I'm one of the biggest OBJ supporters there is (not just among Browns fans). If the Bucs are wanting to trade for him, and it's something he wants, I fully support it. Gimme #32, Godwin or other assets. I'd look to resign Higgins and maybe add an Allen Robinson to replace him.

I'd trade OBJ for #32 overall in the draft. Then look to replace him with some talent at a fraction of the cost.

But that's just me.

If we were unloading OBJ, as much as I like Godwin, I think I'd rather just have #32 and some filler as well......either other picks or possibly a depth piece.

With the money we have coming due, we realistically cannot afford another high priced receiver......even one as good as Godwin. I'd rather just add a pick.....and give us the option where we could take a receiver at 26 or 32.

32 for OBJ seems like a no-brainer from the Browns perspective. I'd immediately take that and run.

I think i would do that too. Not sure we draft his replacement, but an extra late 1st to draft a LB, Edge, safety, ect would be huge.

I'd be fine with 32 but not sure that happens. Godwin at a reasonable contract would allow us to move on from Landry in a year. We can draft a replacement this year or next, or see if Higgins can continue to play well for us and assume that role at a big discount.

Rather just keep OBJ and put a dynamic playmaker back into the offense going into next year.

Think from a paper standpoint that looks all fine and dandy, but from a team morale standpoint it would be fucking disastrous. Just giving up on a guy after he tore his ACL is a yikes.

I really look at Jarvis and think he's going to just play forever.

To me, I'd rather have Jarvis + a rookie scale contract WR then I would Godwin plus whatever is left when Jarvis walks.

Especially considering (I think) Jarvis should be a more reasonable year yearly number on this last big deal of his.

Maybe I am too high on Juice though.

Inevitably one has to go. It is just the cap reality.

I'd rather ride the Tom Brady super bowl dick swinging trade boost.....ok, maybe ride was a bad word.......anyway.

I think it is more of a value proposition for me. I actually really like OBJ.......I would just move him if the net makes sense.

If we can retool the receiver cap # a year early, that allows us to spend the money elsewhere, where I think it will have more of a W/L impact.

I mean, we'd be sending him to the defending Super Bowl champs to play with Tom Brady in Tampa. We're not giving up on him in that scenario. We're trading him to a fellow contending team for a fair return.

That being said, I don't think there's any chance we get a first for Odell at this point in the offseason, so this is all irrelevant.

Some people would and have said OBJ is not a dynamic player maker anymore.. ;)

I don't understand on OBJ trade right now. I don't think it's a good idea to trade OBJ for a pick and end up replacing him with a rookie WR. Not for a team that's trying to be a contender next season.

That creates too many question marks at the WR position. If what a lot of people have been saying is true and Landry would probably be gone next you better hit a home run on you WR draft picks and I'm not talking about finding serviceable guys late like DPJ and Higgins.

If you're getting rid of Landry and OBJ you better find some guys who are studs on the field and leaders off the field.

Losing Landry and OBJ creates a huge void of talent at a position.

If you want to replace them with 2021 or 2022 picks then those players need to be studs. If you're going to replace them with high priced veterans then why even trade OBJ and Landry in the first place.

And I don't agree with trading a dollar for four quarters. In this case Landry and OBJ are still viewed as dollars around the league.

I don't think it would be a good idea to trade OBJ for a WR by committee approach. keep him. There is zero downside to keeping him on the roster next season. His money is already guaranteed.

The Browns WRs (without OBJ) didn’t prevent them from advancing in the playoffs last year. The shoddy defense did.

If trading OBJ gets the Browns a pick or player to help build a top level defense, they’ll find a way to offset the loss on offense, whether it’s via trade, FA, or the draft.

I like OBJ, but I wouldn’t be THAT concerned if the Browns traded him. If the FO decides it’s in the best interest of the team to trade him, at this point you have to trust Berry.

So while i dont disagree that the defense clearly needs more help than the offense, the browns offense absolutely struggled against the chiefs.
