The only issue with cooks is he carries a 15 mill cap hit next season with 7.5 mil in dead money.

I really think Baker would excel with a bigger WR. Michael Thomas would be perfect if not for the off field stuff.

An OBJ for Michael Thomas swap could be great for everyone involved.

Thomas gets a fresh start (which he clearly wants) on another contender. OBJ gets to go home and play in an offense called by Sean Payton with Jameis airing it out.

And I agree that Thomas would be a significantly better fit here than OBJ.

If Thomas passes his physical and is open to playing here, I'd make that trade right now.

Obj is going to be on the roster until he gets cut next offseason. I’m confused why anyone would think differently.

It’s not like if we get rid of him this year we can do anything crazy to reinvest his cap space.

Just hope that he stops being so shitty.

If I’m reading this chart correctly...based on receiver rating Donovan Peoples-Jones is the #1 receiver in the entire NFL?
To be fair, much of that is due to a 57 yard miracle hail mary reception against the Cardinals. But yes, DPJ should also, along with Higgins be given way more opportunities.

People need to quit going hysterical over Beckham and making him out to be a terrible player because he’s not. He’s still a very good player, and he is well respected in the clubhouse and liked by his teammates. But the operative phrase here is “very good.”
He is no longer a superstar.
The main difference that I see between OBJ and the others is that OBJ has regressed in the fundamentals. OBJ may be the best in the world at making one-handed catches of deep balls, and making spectacular moves with the ball, but he’s only an average route runner and he’s not reliable enough on routine catches.
In each game this season, he has failed at least one time to make a catch of a catchable ball. Versus the Broncos, there was one play in which he seemed to stumble and the ball actually hit him in the side without him making a play on it. If it were a shooting gallery, Case Keenum would have won a prize for hitting the target.
....
Can we ask another stupid question? If he is injured — and, as a matter of fact, many of us do believe that OBJ’s right shoulder is truly killing him, and we’re not real sure whether his knee is all that stable, either, based on the stumbling — why the screw did OBJ wind up leading Browns wide receivers in snaps played versus the Broncos with 43? ... Reducing OBJ’s snaps would make him more dangerous. As it is, he seems to be struggling, not dominating.

Nothing about OBJ has been very good and he really did nothing to support that claim

I keep saying it, but people are anchoring their opinion on him and afraid to call it for what he is. He is mediocre and it has little to do with who is at QB. People are just afraid to say things that conflict with widely held beliefs

this guys own words don’t even line up with that of a very good player. “He’s an average route runner and not reliable enough on routine catches” but please STOP saying he’s bad because his name is Odell so he’s actually very good

I am coming around to believing this too now. Its 7 games into the season, he has played with 2 QB's now. He has at least 4 or 5 drops that i can think of, and when he does catch the ball, he doesnt have the same acceleration or elusiveness he had in NY.

I am not mad at OBJ though, he is giving his all, being a good teammate, and doing everything he can, but the injuries look like they caught up with him and he is no longer worth his contract, so he will be cut after the season. Football is a rough sport like that.

This isn't what we meant by OBJ and Mayfield getting on the same page.

WTF is the going on with this team??
Seriously wondering this.

Is there a under/over training problem here? I don’t believe in bad luck.

I know Stefanski had limited pre season for his starters. I don't remember if he limited training camp as well. If he did that may explain some if these joint and soft tissue injuries.
