Lol

I was there at the game. That ball was high and overthrown. Odell could barely get his one arm up to even get a hand on it. Baker had two defenders bearing down on him and got a roughing call so I’m not gonna kill him for an overthrow there but Odell was open and the ball placement on that play was poor.

How could it be a lack of effort when he had to stretch one arm just to get a hand on it?
Lolololol found the president of the excuse club. The ball was thrown damn near perfect and Odell half assed it with 1 hand instead of literally just using 2 hands.

It was slightly above his helmet? Can we not expect an elite WR to make a catch when he is slightly inconvenienced?

It wasn’t slightly above his helmet. If your argument is the receiver should make a spectacular catch on every overthrown ball then that’s not an argument.

It wasn’t a bad overthrow but it was a miss. Odell had to stretch his arms just to get one hand on the ball.

The ball placement on the throw was off. I already said I’m not gonna kill Baker for that throw because he had two guys bearing down on him and got the roughing call.

It was a miss. If that throw was slightly lower it’s probably a TD. I’m not even trippin on it. I’m just laughing at people making it seem like Odell was dogging it on that play. He wasn’t. He got open and the ball was a bit overthrown while Baker was under pressure.

Only with odell is this considered an uncatchable ball
It's hard to go after a ball like that when you're only making min. wage. Gotta think about the next paycheck.

Look at the ball placement on that pass. It’s thrown high to a receiver running into a defender.

What exactly am I missing here?
That he pulled up short and didn't even go after the ball with two hands. Like an 'elite' receiver would.

My argument is can Odell ever make a spectacular catch in 30 games with the browns?

like can we EVER expect our highly paid WR to make like a… difficult to make catch?

First and only superstar WR that needs to have every single ball thrown exactly into his chest and nowhere else lest it simply be to tough a catch to expect him to make.

I expect middle of the road WRs to make that catch.

O'dell made a business decision that he didn't want to get hit and anyone arguing otherwise is simply too far gone.

First and goal from the 3 if he two hands this.

If you see the play zoomed out you’ll see that the ball should’ve been thrown more towards the pylon where Odell was running. Baker threw the ball where Odell had to stop and sit on it but he was breaking open towards the pylon. That’s where the ball should’ve been. It should’ve been thrown to hit Odell in stride.

This pass is very similar to the ball to Schartwz against HOU. The ball placement is not where you want it to be if you actually read the defenders.

AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH.

Amazing.

You even admit in your own post the ball was just "a bit overthrown" but apparently that's literally all it takes to not expect a catch from the superstar.

If the man can't make that catch once a fucking season, what is he getting paid for.

Holy fuck Los, just once admit being wrong about any player in any sport. One time.

Game on the line, season in jeopardy, and there's clear video evidence of Odell short-arming a potential game winning catch in fear of getting hit and Los just. Cant. Do It.

Going down with the ship. The same ship that Andre Drummond is on.

Elite players find ways to make big impacts.

Haven't seen it.

Don't think we will see it.

Yeah, he's had injuries, there has been some instability in the beginning of his tour.

But it just isn't looking like it will work out.

For whatever reason. Disctinctions are meaningless in this situation. Only the end result.

And that result is he is most certainly not worth what he is paid by a loooong shot.

The ball is fine and should have been caught if he had given the bare minimum effort.

Stop defending him.

That ball was supposed to be thrown in stride. It wasn’t. Baker threw the ball I to where the defender was going and not to where Odell was breaking open to.

The All 22 will show you that the ball wasn’t thrown to where it should’ve went. Look at how Odell has to literally slow down on his route to adjust to the ball. It was supposed to be thrown to the corner but it was thrown short of where Odell was actually running to.

But I can see that y’all are only interested in corny elite or superstar receiver tropes.
