This has been a disaster… The sad part is we know it’s inevitable that if he goes somewhere else you’re gonna see a renaissance…. It might not be all pro level but you’re gonna see a noticeable spike in production…

The ball is fine and should have been caught if he had given the bare minimum effort.

Stop defending him.

Lol. Okay. We’re gonna pretend like Odell doesn’t clearly have to slow down his route because the ball is thrown short to where he was going and right into where the defender is going to.

At this point I think it's better for both sides to move on. It just is not working for the Browns or for Odell.

Honestly DPJ is our WR that excites me most. I think he has real potential to be a diamond near the rough

Hope there's a prop bet on it somewhere because I'll gladly bet against that. Odell's main problem is Odell

Find a way in your shitty scheme to target him in productive ways. Go re-watch the Cowboys game for headliners. If the guy was covered absolutely every route then I'd say he's cooked. This is on the coach for not spreading the volume. Treating him as your offensive decoy Ala Diggs. If your star WR wanted to get cardio in he'll just hit the weight room.

Funny how we point at OBJ for not making a circus catch because it's his ONLY opportunity in a 60 minute game. Fuck other opportunities that aren't there.

That ball was supposed to be thrown in stride. It wasn’t. Baker threw the ball I to where the defender was going and not to where Odell was breaking open to.

The All 22 will show you that the ball wasn’t thrown to where it should’ve went. Look at how Odell has to literally slow down on his route to adjust to the ball. It was supposed to be thrown to the corner but it was thrown short of where Odell was actually running to.

But I can see that y’all are only interested in corny elite or superstar receiver tropes.
So he slowed down then decided to do a sissy hop and put one hand up for the ball....

And you don't see how this is taking the play off?

So the ball must be in stride in exactly the right spot for him to make the catch?

Look man, I don't know why I engage because I know this is who Los is.

Same dude defended Ben Simmons passing on a wide open dunk in Game 7.

Fact is no one expects less of Odell than Los at this point.

Only with odell is this considered an uncatchable ball
It was catchable but kinda dangerous position to put your receiver in? Maybe doesn't look as bad during the live stream. Stop the clip at 3 seconds and looks like OBJ was gonna get his shit rocked and took his attention away from the ball.

You are asking a guy with two bad shoulders to adjust midair while between two defenders, one about to rock hisnshit.

Blame OBJ if you wanna, the clip just doesn't seem as power an argument as some in this thread want to make it seem. Think letting his body of work (rather lack thereof) to make your case works just fine.

Exactly.. I totally get the drop balls and people getting irritated with that…. But the inability to him in stride deep or as you said him cutting the route cause he has too…. Or even worse in just plain missing him wide open… He drops those short crossing routes more than I’d like, but I sure as hell would love to see him get hit in stride…

He's paid 20 million dollars and the game is on the line.

Yes, I'm asking a guy with two bad shoulders to sacrifice his body and make that catch. That's why he's paid all that money.

I just.....is the problem here that there are people who are still holding Odell to superstar standards and others who aren't?

If you're hurt. Don't play. Get surgery. Don't take the spot of a healthy player who could do the job. Excuses don't show up as points for your team. Pretty damned simple.

Elite players find ways to make big impacts.

Haven't seen it.

Don't think we will see it.

Yeah, he's had injuries, there has been some instability in the beginning of his tour.

But it just isn't looking like it will work out.

For whatever reason. Disctinctions are meaningless in this situation. Only the end result.

And that result is he is most certainly not worth what he is paid by a loooong shot.

Is this for Baker as well, or nah?

odell has now played 29 games with the Browns. Has he made a single catch as good as this one? That is why people are so frustrated. For whatever reason a rookie TE can make a spectacular catch and basically save the game and its not fair to expect that same level of play from Odell? I seriously do not think you can find a better catch than this that Odell has made for the Browns in TWENTY NINE games

The fact that people's standards for Odell are as low as they are should be a lot more damning than those people realize. You can't even expect moderately difficult balls to even have a chance of being caught when thrown Odell's way
