Why do I get the feeling literally nothing happens tonight?
I'll bet one thing that happens is that we'll see more Dothraki and Unsullied than have any logical right to exist.

Sophie Turner says we won't like what happens to her character. Pretty confident this episode is going to be total ass.
It’s legitimately ridiculous that the heads of the non-Stark houses would not only vote for an uncharismatic, weird, staring teenage boy to rule over them...but then also be totally fine with the Starks getting an independent kingdom. Like wtf? Why the fuck would Yara Greyjoy, who literally stated five minutes before that Jon Snow should be killed and who has always hated the Starks, not want the Iron Islands to be independent? And what about Dorne? The Vale? They don’t want to be independent as well?
Dorne has always been kind of independent. They called their ruler a Prince.
I think it was more of a screw it Tyron makes a point and the group was going to back someone from the long night crew anyways. They just wanted the unsullied and dothraki gone.
They see King's landing in ruins and probably all sick of war. I bet most didn't even feel like the north getting independence was really that real because the new King's sister is the ruler and it's the King's birthright house.
Also the north isn't viewed as that valuable by the rest of the realm.
That’s all good and well but everything in your post is speculation. The show did not do the legwork to demonstrate why the lords and ladies of powerful houses would be content being ruled by a Stark boy while his sister gets to have her own independent kingdom that they don’t get to have.
