He has not really said anything lately on television, due to CFB season not being going on. But, I'm really at a loss as to why this guy has a job.
His smug arrogance about the game, and his hatred towards programs in the Big Ten and especially Ohio State is tired and played.
I'll give you an example of his latest tweet in regards to the Bucks latest self-imposed punishment:
HOW are they mocking the system again mark? HOW? They fired their coach, they pushed Pryor out, they're complying with the NCAA, they've gotten rid of every win from the 2010 season. You're a fucking jackass. I could understand, if this was say, an Auburn situation, in which, May seemed to magically overlook THAT A PLAYER WAS PAID THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO PLAY AMATUER COLLEGE FOOTBALL. But it's okay, because the NCAA ignored that, and it's perfectly okay, because it's the SEC. .
Also, really, "Mocking the system"? THE SYSTEM IS A JOKE. It's the most unfair, and bias system in all of sports. Fuck, even the MLB is more fair, a league that allows two teams to buy up most of the All-star teams. This is a system that allows schools like my school, Kent State to never have a shot at making the same amount of money like a school like Texas or Florida. A system THAT DOESN'T PAY IT'S EMPLOYEES DESPITE THEM MAKING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN PROFITS.
No, Mark May is out for blood :rolleyes;, he won't stop till those meanies in Scarlet and Grey are down to being a MAC-level program, or dare I say the Pitt Panthers. He's unprofessional, and doesn't even remotely resemble a journalist. He lacks the ability to stay neutral, yet remain a fan of the sport.
In short, I wish nothing but terrible things for this assclown, and I hope ESPN will be tired of his antics, and kick his ass out the door ala Sean Salisbury style. I also hope, that it's a scandal of some sort, so that he can be over analyzed and criticized beyond belief, and not have the ability to argue back, much like the players and teams he's "Covered".
