OSU Recruiting Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Did you actually read the article? Bama is out. He's deciding between OSU, Oregon, Washington and USC.

No, chill. I thought it was the same blurb I read a few minutes ago which didn’t explicitly say Bama is out. But Huffman is the man on this recruitment.

He’s a Buckeye if Bama is out. Not sure how that’s not the takeaway.

Things came together pretty quickly on this kid. They just offered him a little over two weeks ago. Was thought to be a Bama lean and Saban supposedly highly coveted his commitment. Nice snag for Coombs and co.

Based on some kids scheduled announcements and some scuttle from a few different sites, sounds like there could easily be another 3 commits minimum between now and Tuesday.

Some kids might be waiting until the NIL stuff takes effect before announcing. Might be trying to monetize it somehow.

JTT announcing tomorrow at 4PM.

Should be interesting.

Another day, another highly ranked WR for Brian Hartline.

Obviously this isn't a make or break pickup, but two things that stand out to me:
  • Top tier name... KOJO? Fuck yes.
  • Georgia wanted him to stay home, so definitely a good win.

Not a make or break pickup but he strikes me as a tad underrated and in a different mold from some of our other WRs we picked up recently. Definitely a big addition, this is not an afterthought kind of guy (not saying you implied that).

Hartline is just at the top of his game right now. Anyone who doesn’t follow recruiting probably doesn’t get it but OSU has an absurd embarrassment of riches at WR for the next few years and shows no signs of that pipeline slowing down.

For as historic as 2021’s class was, by the way, 2022 is shaping up to be nearly as good. Ooof indeed

Yeah, I literally forgot Emeka fucking Egbuka was going to be on the roster for 2021 when I dove into osu fb stuff today. Lol

Zack Smith is a POS, and that is the moral of the 2018 offseason.

But has there ever been a more fortuitous position coach change in OSU history?
