Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Doing favors for an agent is probably the only benefit the Cavs get out of this long term, but still it's the kind to deal that a last place team should make, so I'm glad they did it. I got my fingers crossed that the Cavs did this because they expect to move Hood & Burks soon, but maybe that's too much to hope for. I really don't expect them to be able to move Clarkson. Not even hoping for that right now.

Sounds like this guy really hated the GoldenState locker room and that it went beyond a money issue. Anyone want to guess who he hated?

His words are repetitive, redundant, he repeats himself, and might even say the same thing more than once.

“I loved playing in Golden State. My teammates, the coaches, it was nothing really … nothing stands out to me to say I didn’t want to go back. Think it was just a personal thing where I was just like, I think it was time for me to move on for a new opportunity within myself. Nothing against Golden State, front office, coaches, players, the environment, it had nothing to do with any of that. It’s just a personal thing, and I wanted a new opportunity to move on. I can’t say anything other than it was all me. Nothing against Golden State. I just wanted to move on.”

I get it... He won a couple rings and now wants to see if he can actually do some things in the NBA...

Just your modern day Devean George

Clearly didnt want to be son'ed by GS :chuckle:

Looking forward to seeing if his defense is as solid as advertised, and if some good defensive habits will rub off on teammates.

His 3pt shot is inconsistent, but is best as a catch-n-shoot option, which could work well if Sexton continues to improve as a drive and kick pg.

You can say that again!

SIAP, but can anyone clarify if the "playoff bonus would've made up the difference" as has been often suggested on rgm/reddit?

From what it sounds like the 47 games in Cali - basically 13.3% income tax for the home/Kings/LA games vs. 4.75% here - would also be a significant difference.

I would think it is very hard to get into a groove shooting when your mins are so hit and miss
Curious to see what he does with steady, bigger minutes.

Good move by the Cavs.... has upside, almost zero risk. We need to keep looking for these opportunities

I think he wanted the opportunity for more playing time to get paid. Most young players are looking for paydays.

That said I don't know if he is that good, but we will find out if he is and only had to pay about 1.6 million to find out and fucked GS over and made an Agent happy.

Win/Win/Win

you're being kind, he looks awful

Kind of expected since he hasn't played for 6 months and he probably has been training on his own since the season started. NBA guys tend to train together in the off-season so he probably didn't have anyone to go against since September.
