Penn State AD Tim Curley faces charges (Paterno and PSU president are now out)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
ah, you mean like when you 'clarify' your previously written (embarrassingly stupid) posts, which is almost every post. either learn to communicate your thoughts better or stop saying dumb things, but sometihngs gotta give

Feel free to go ahead and post anything in which I've defended Jerry Sandusky.

I'll wait.

"Wow, this behavior is a little over the top."

- Ben Roethlisberger on the Jerry Sandusky allegations

just so everyone knows Mike McQueary was placed on indefinite leave today by Penn state.

I think they should play the game but all proceeds go to the victims and/or their families. In fact, maybe they should do that for the next 5 home games. If you figure they probably make about $5 million per game, $25 million would probably be a good start for the victims.

Apparently some (at least one) former players are sending Sandusky money to support his defense in court...
From: http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7220097/penn-state-nittany-lions-rally-program

No, but another former Nittany Lion said he hasn't forgotten Sandusky, even as the former assistant coach stands accused of having sex with young boys.

Sam Stellatella, a three-position player in the 1950s, has donated money to Sandusky's defense and urged other former players to do the same.
"I told him he's going to need a million dollars to defend himself," the 73-year-old Stellatella said. "He called me back and said, 'What am I going to do with this money?' I said, 'Use it for your lawyer because you're going to need it.'"

Stellatella sent Sandusky $100. He wrote personal letters to other members of the 1959 Liberty Bowl team that defeated a Bear Bryant-coached Alabama team and asked they also donate. He does not know how much money was raised.

"I know some of the guys sent money," Stellatella told The Associated Press. "Here's the thing, these are horrendous charges against him. But he's still entitled to his day in court. Everybody's prejudged him. He's done horrendous damage to Paterno and (athletic director Tim) Curley and the football program. I don't listen to the news and I don't read the reports of what he did because I would get too upset."

"But he's still entitled to his day in court."

I'd rather a burn a $100 bill than send it to that piece of shit. Why can't we all donate $100 to buy a truck we can run him over with 100 times.

I don't listen to the news and I don't read the reports of what he did because I would get too upset.

In other words, I don't read the reports because I know I'd immediately change my mind about sending a rapist $100.

Makes me want to puke.

Instead of sending $100.00 to cancer or AIDS research, poverty, hunger, etc., he sent it to a man who violated over a dozen young boys?! Stellatella belongs in prison with Sandusky. Burn in hell asshole.

How stupid...no one is going to deny him his day in court. America is a great country. If you can't afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you by the courts free of charge. We're also going to provide Sandusky with free room and board and unlimited male sex the rest of his life. He'll never need money again, Sammy, give it to a charity.

To be honest, pedaphiles and sex offenders don't get treated well in prison. Plenty of inmates might be having sex with other men, but they also usually have kids on the outside. Sex offenders are the most brutally beaten and most likely to be murdered in jail.

Sandusky's stay in jail will be BRUTAL if he is in the genpop, which we can all hope actually happens.

This whole situation seems like it is going to play out like a movie. It is unreal what has happened.

I haven't read this whole thread, so it has probably been discussed, but just in case it hasn't.....

I have heard multiple times on the radio that back when they first started investigating Sandusky back in the early 2000s, that the lead prosecutor against Sandusky randomly went missing and then was later found dead. I also heard that his computer chip was missing out of his computer.

Has anybody else heard this and is it true? Could you post a link to any information on it if possible? Thanks.

Report: Sandusky Recuited HS Players This Season

November 11, 2011 3:32 PM

(WSCR) According to a published report, former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, who was arrested over the weekend on more than 40 counts of child sexual abuse, had been recruiting for Penn State football as recently as this past spring.

Adam Ah Ching, a senior linebacker at Greer High School in South Carolina, said that Sandusky actually visited him this past season as a recruiting ploy.

“He came to my last spring game going into my senior season. He liked how I moved, laterally, and how gifted I am,” :notfunny? said Ah Ching, ranked last year by ESPNU as the 26th linebacker prospect in the country.

Since the allegations surfaced, however, Ah Ching has changed his mind about Penn State.

“It’s very devastating to have a top-tiered program and have them drop like that,” said Ah Ching. “That really did play a big impact on where I wanted to go.

“All these recruits are decommiting because of that. It’s sad, depressing and devastating.”

Did anyone see the game yesterday? Pretty poor showing from the fans with the signs and whatnot and only raised 22,000 per 107,000 people for abused kids...

I heard rhythmic slapping sounds at yesterdays game so I went to call the cops but realized it was just PSU fans clapping for Joe Pa.

Stay classy Penn State.

Re: Penn State AD Tim Curley faces charges

I started reading the grand jury report, couldnt read more than a few pages...I almost vomited. Again, I have no idea how this animal got out on bail.

If anyone else can stomach it, I was wondering if there were any other details about Paterno's involvement.

Well, now I know how he got out on $100K bail...

Judge Who Set Unsecured Bail For Jerry Sandusky Is A Second Mile Volunteer

When Jerry Sandusky was initially arraigned, as previously reported by Sara Ganim, prosecutors requested $500,000.00 bail and that Sandusky be required to wear a leg monitor. District Judge Leslie Dutchcot, however, ordered that Sandusky be freed on $100,000 unsecured bail. She ordered that Sandusky be freed and pay nothing unless he failed to show up for a court hearing.

Judge Dutchcot has quite the professional resume. In addition to her duties as district judge, she is of counsel to the firm Goodall & Yurchak. It speaks to the small-town nature of the county, I suppose, that the firm's URL is "centrelaw.com." According to her profile, Judge Dutchcot has been named the State College Lawyer of the Year, completed a "Leadership" program and has served as a counselor at Centre County Law Enforcement Camp Cadet, Inc.

Of course, also according to her profile, Judge Dutchcot is a volunteer for Sandusky's group, The Second Mile. Sandusky turned himself in the morning of Nov. 5, a Saturday, at Judge Dutchot's Centre County office. He was released, under the aforementioned terms, shortly thereafter.

Attorneys often serve charitable foundations in their pro bono capacities, or just volunteer in their spare time, so there is nothing weird about that. It just seems that, given the nature of the charges, the small-town atmosphere, and her relationship to Second Mile, Judge Dutchcot should have recused herself from being involved with this process. Or that could be precisely why she did not.
