Peyton Manning Just...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Donate it or do it for a couple grand. How much money do you need? All those people who don't have a home right now and are outside in the cold, and you want to make 200 grand on top of multi millions?

Peyton is supposed to end homelessness with $200 grand? It's not like he is filthy rich, he hasn't earned that much yet.

200k would help though. Even just downtown Cleveland im sure he could go around and find atleast 100 homeless people and thousands of folks who have no idea where there next meal is coming from. 200k would suit them just fine.

So why dont people put this burden on people that really have money? Peyton's not that rich, there are people that win the lottery every day that have more money than he has made.

look, some of you are saying some dumb shit, peyton isnt going to pocket $200,000, this isnt Pac Man Jones, its Peyton Manning, a class act in the league from a classy family, if you think he kept this money, you are an idiot, and if you think giving it to homeless people is something he should be obligated to do, your also an idiot, giving it to some scholarship fund or University of Tennessee is fine with me. Dude isnt in it for the money, he has Cingular, Gatorade sponserships, he doesnt need money, and showing up for a Sweet 16 is hardly any "time wasted." what would he be doing otherwise?

Yeah, if you consider 140M not that much.:chuckles:

2006 Colts $ 10,000,000(approx) QB
2005 Colts $ 8,435,186 QB
2004 Colts $ 35,037,700 QB
1998-2004 $ 48,000,000 QB

Thats approaching 100M so far in salary alone.
In 2006 he also led the NFL in endoresement money at 11.5. So, it's safe to say he's earned in excess of 140M in his career so far in salary, bonuses, and endorsements. Forbes estimates he will make over 25M in endoresements this year after winning the SB. Another 5 years and this cat will have earned 300M-400M.
So I ask myself...WHAT THE FLUCK IS HE DOING WORKING BIRTHDAY PARTIES DURING HIS FREETIME?

$400 Mill, eh thats only like $300 Million, after taxes, i mean, a man cant live off of that, sometimes you have to whore yourself out to Birthdays.

Monopolies are highly frowned upon these days..I smell a hostile takeover..

How do you make $35 mil in one year as a QB on an NFL team? That is impossible.

He has that in guaranteed money, but he hasn't earned it all yet.

i guess somewhere between being one of the best QBs in the league and having a shitload of touchdown passes helps his case, if vick can be the highest paid, manning can be 2nd. im not sure why your trying to argue over the mans money, who gives a shit, he is well off enough where $200,000 isnt going to make him do backflips.

Why is it that he should donate the $200k made at this party to charity, but it's just fine for him to keep the $100mil he's made playing football? Explain to me why this money should be donated, but his other money is fine for him to keep.

Part of it was the largest signing bonus in the history of the NFL....34M. He has earned every dollar I listed. He can still make 70M from his current 119M contract extension he signed in 2004.

Why? really it comes down to an ethics thing, what you believe in and what not, of course he wouldnt do it for free, because time is money, but he didnt have to "work" for it per-se, he worked to build the image that he has, and the money he gets from sponserships are because there are kids like the ones in the pictures who like him enough to buy whatever has his face on it. so really, he is making his money off of us. i cant judge what one does with there money, if they want to throw it at strippers and bust there heads, ala pac-man jones, go right on ahead, but its because of the fans that these guys arent working regular 9-5 jobs and are able to live well.
