went to the game, some impressions
JJ did well when he played in the flow of the game - put back baskets, assisted baskets, like he's done in the past. Most of his misses and turnovers where when he tried to create on his own. He was forcing things in that situation and it didn't go well. He did most of that early, then played better later. He drew quite a few fouls and went 7-10 from the line.
Jamison didn't shoot well, but he was a +15
The defensive highlight of the night was Green with a chase down block on a bobcats fast break.
Overall I was encouraged that we had a strong first game against the bobcats, a solid playoff team from last year, with two of our best players out. It's only preseason, so we still need time to evaluate the team, but we certainly look quite a bit better than the last place team some are predicting.
