Preseason Game #1 (12/16/2011) --- Cavs @ Pistons, 7:30PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It wasn't long ago when people on this board were touting JJ for Amare. That's all-star, max contract Amare. Right now how many would rather have JJ than TT? Just on today's performance by TT I would much rather have him.

We don't know what kind of player TT is, but we know what kind of player JJ. There is a lot of things you can improve in when it comes to basketball. But when it comes to basketball IQ, you really have it or you don't. JJ doesn't have the basketball IQ or mentality to be a consistent contributer on a winning team. He is just too damn stupid for his own good. Amare is dumber than a bag of hammers, and even he is by far a smarter player than JJ. You can't consistently win in the league with those types of players. Basketball IQ is a very underrated aspect when it comes to drafting players. Does that mean I would take Shelvin Mack over Derrick Rose? Of course not, but it is more important than people think. Look at the Kings. They aren't going to go anywhere until they trade some of those retards they have playing for them. Same with the Wizards. Both teams are just littered with losers. Talented players, but they are losers. At least with TT, you know he is going to take a mature approach to becoming a better player.

Hey guys,

I'm in Cleveland for a couple days soon and will be in town when the 2nd preseason game is on and am looking to buy tickets. Is it easier to show up at the Q that evening and get tickets, as I'm assuming the game won't be anywhere near being sold out. Or is that a last resort option? We can buy tickets online but they don't look to be very good seats and we aren't wanting to spend heaps (over $40) per ticket. Anyone offer any help?

Cheers

Alright, I'm sorry I have to say this, but enough is enough about Irving.

  1. He played less than 15 games after high school.
  2. He had to heal his foot before touching a ball, let alone touching the court.
  3. He was in class for the lockout, without much practice.
  4. He has the least amount of time to get into the flow.
He freakin' dominated and even drew a rookie foul on Knight. He's CLUTCH! Quit naggin'! This is unreal circumstances, even with only 2 quarters played.

Give it a rest, guys. He'll be much better off in a month. I liked what I saw. He's got it.

Anderson Varejao - Couldn't be happier to have him back. By far our best defensive player and best finishing big around the rim. His energy is contagious and he's the lynch pin of the defensive effort, which I felt was very good last night. I was very pleased with the jumpers that Varejao knocked down because that shot is going to be there all year for him. The play where showed hard on the screen and forced a steal around midcourt and started the fastbreak himself was a thing of beauty. I think his trade value will be there if he stays healthy. Will Grant be willing to trade him is a bigger question?

And possibly even the best in the league. Andy with some offense is an allstar player in the league. I use to say Andy was the definition of MB's defense, but now I think he is just the definition of defense and could be a major definition of the team, period. I honestly hope Grant isn't willing to trade him...

Andy has a lot of value, but I just don't think we'll be able to trade him for the type of assets we need. The good teams that can use him the most and would trade for him typically don't have high draft picks, and honestly I wouldn't trade him for anything less than presumed lottery pick or young player with a lot of promise. Someone like Eric Gordon or James Harden (both unrealistic)

Even if it means less wins this year and maybe a mid to late first round pick next year in a stacked draft?
