Preseason Game #1 (12/16/2011) --- Cavs @ Pistons, 7:30PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Charlie V wasnt even the worst player on the court tonight. Scary, I know.

After 1 pre-season game we already have people calling TT a bust?

Good to see the lockout didn't affect the irrational game day reactions around here.

FSO isn't replaying it, anyone got a link by extremely small chance?

I found the game Enjoyable. Its easy to see Scott is intending to keep going with the two line roster. Sessions, Gee, Parker, Jamison, and Varejao then Irving, Eyenga, Tristan and Samuels with Mychael Thomspon getting some work. I see a good solid young core in but its also abundantly clear why parker was resigned.. Jamison will take the floor and Sessions will most likely start

Varejao has obviously worked on his shot so he can take advantage of his center matchups. Sessions seemed under control. Samuels is just a beast. Thompson has the potential to evolve into a future all defensive team regular. Eyenga has really worked on his defensive fundamentals.

10 guys got 20 minutes. and the young guys got to finish out a close score game. Im interested to see how much progress thyey can make before the season starts.

Other than that it was an ugly pathetic meaningless game

As I've mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm looking forward to watching this team play, but after watching this game I think it will be miraculous if they win 20 games this season.

Would anyone be awesome enough to post the game? Or at least the TT highlights?

How many times do they play the Pistons this season?

how does someone from another country become a Cavs fan?

I think most international Cavs fans have fallen in love with the Cavs while LBJ stayed here. From beeing a LBJ fan in the first place to getting a fan of the actual team.

For me it was playing NBA Live `03 ... I was quite new to Basketball at that time but I always played with the Cavs in this game (I dont even know why). This sympathy translated to the real NBA and then LBJ came and turned us into a good team. So that was basically how I became a Cavs-Fan...

kyrie looked good, but i don't think he'll be a spectacular player. he'll be a solid point guard along the lines of Andre Miller or Chauncey Billups - he doesn't have the quickness or athleticism to be a derrick rose or russell westbrook type. he'll be a solid player though. Brandon Knight on the other hand looks like he'll be a Russell Westbrook clone. Not sure who will get rookie of the year, but it might not be Kyrie.

Tristan...yikes...he's going to be a project. he showed some positives, but i think it'll take about 5 years before he looks anything like a real NBA player. he looks severely offensively challenged.

a side note...Andy really stepped up his offensive game. He had some smooth shots and moved well with the ball...2 years ago he would've dribbled it off his leg or just bricked the layup off the backboard...somehow he has developed A LITTLE offensive ability...i give props when they're due.

if there's any player who physically doesn't look like he belongs in the NBA, it's Luke Harongody - he looks like an old-timey boxer or old-timey football player or something - big barrel chest and stubby limbs. he's in the wrong sport.

Samardo looks LEGIT. i love his game. kind of disappointing that an undrafted player (samardo) looked better than our #4 overall pick. Samardo just looks comfortable and natural in the paint.

we'll see a lot of ugly basketball from this roster...just waiting for the draft.
