Pro wrestler Chris Benoit and his family found dead at residence

World Wrestling Entertainment professional wrestler Chris Benoit and his family were found dead Monday at their residence.

The wrestler was found with his wife, Nancy, and his son, Daniel. Police have not released details, but have reported the residence is currently under investigation.

WWE will continue with their live broadcast of their weekly show, RAW, tonight at 8 p.m. on USA. WWE officials said a tribute to Benoit is planned for the show.

RAW will be making a stop in the Cajundome on July 9.

Benoit, a Canadian-born wrestler, had stints in WWE, as well as World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling. He was 40 years old.

WWE has a drug policy in place and they do screen their wrestlers. You are not allowed to take steroids or any other drug.

RVD was suspended and stripped of both of his titles when he was caught with weed and Randy Orton was suspended a while back when he took a banned substance. Road Dogg Jesse James was released because of drug use. They released Kurt Angle because he was addicted to pain killers. They released another guy less than a month ago, the guy in the tag team MNM with Nitro, for drug use as well.

So dont speak up when you are in the dark and dont know what you are talking about.

First off, you sound mad. calm down, its not that serious.,

Second off, its sad as shit that a whole family is gone, done, forever no future of the family name being upheld or anything, hopefully it was something out of there control, but familys dont just get murdered like this, it had to have been either a murder suicide, or a mob hit of some kind by people he may have owed money. It sucks either way.

I also agree with Mac. The guys of today aren't the guys we watched growing up. There is not a guy out there that is freakishly big for their height that i have seen. I know there are probably some fellas out there that still use roids but with all the supplements out there you can get to be a decent size with nutrition and weightlifting.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities said professional wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and child were found slain Monday at their Fayette County home.

Lieutenant Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department said the three were found about 2:30 p.m., but he would release no other details.

Pope said the deaths are being investigated as homicide, but the cause of death awaits autopsy results tomorrow.

He would not say how the bodies were discovered, or who found them.

The World Wrestling Entertainment said on its Website that the 40-year-old Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son Daniel were found dead but also had no other details.

The WWE said that instead of its programming Monday night on USA Network, it would air a three-hour tribute to Benoit.
