I strongly disagree here. This was a monumental reveal with months of work behind it. It would make no sense to rush out to make this announcement & put out scripts/logos 8 months before Opening Day if they're not finalized or something the decision makers don't 100% love.

It makes perfect sense for them to make subtle changes to the current uniforms as they slowly transition away from the Indians to the Guardians

One more indication that the team is staying in Cleveland and any move is off the table. You don't name a team with specificity to that city and then move them to another city.

I was not a 'Guardians' supporter.....but I like the font, I like the imagery, I can live with the name.

I’ve seen the movie more times than I care to count and never once noticed the statue.

I’m honestly intrigued by this phenomenon that they stick out so much to some people and are so forgettable for others.

I think some may have confused Cleveland with Minas Tirith....

I think what Bimbo is saying is that the logos and typography shared in the video are 100% set in stone for the same reasons you are suggesting.

The uniform mockup may not be final and could be subject to tweaks, or else they would have been included in the marketing materials.
