Admittedly I’ve not seen much of Mitch Trubisky…. But looking at his record (without much help) and his overall stats — coupled with his age— what am I missing here ?

Can he not have a turnaround like Tannehill ? Or any kinda career revitalization ?

Again, I’ve not seen much of him so I legit can’t say yay or nay (like Carr— big Carr guy here)…. I just wonder if Mitch had this line and running game if he could operate better than his previous locations ?

I don’t think he was but Miami moved on from him. Bears moved on from Trubisky.

But it was a couple seasons ago where Mitch was 11-3 and leading a division winner in the NFC North and had a pro bowl season….

I’m looking over his numbers and overall record as a starting QB and I’m just confused why there’s more people seemingly intrigued with Sam Darnold over Mitch ?

But as someone who hasn’t really watched him play I’m wondering what the factors are that makes it where people aren’t as enthused about his ability to be a quality starting QB down the road? Especially with talent flanking him ?

There were running jokes about him throwing stupid interceptions instead of hitting wide open receivers a few yards away (kind of like the QB version of Russ Westbrook), but I don't know how much of that was hyperbole, or Matt Nagy, or inexperience, or just who he is.

*I* would be interested in what Stefanski and AVP could do with him, though. But I'm also a guy that would be interested in Gardner Minshew or Nick Foles (or trading Baker, Tretter, Hooper, and a few picks for Watson), so you may not want to agree with me.

I'm calling it now on January 4th, 2022....

Kirk Cousins will be the next Browns QB.

While I do think the Browns would be potentially be interested in Cousins, his contract, like Mayfield’s, is tricky because it’s fully guaranteed for 2022 at $35M.

That’s not an particularly easy amount of money for a team like the Browns to essentially swallow in one fell swoop (Carr, Jimmy G and Russ are each set to make quite a bit less in 2022) and the idea of extending Cousins to potentially lower his 2022 cap hit is not particularly appealing either.

I know I’m in the minority here but I’d like to have Aaron Rodgers on this team.

Dude is gonna be a Steeler if he leaves the Packers. The way he was exchanging smiles and winking with Tomlin during their game this year, and all the praising for Pittsburgh and wearing yinzer clothes... smh.

This was obviously years ago and he could've grown since then, but I worked at UNC when he played there and I saw him play every home game in person the year he got drafted. I couldn't believe he even got drafted, let alone how high. He did not pass the eye test whatsoever and he wasn't playing that many NFL level defensive players. Could he not be garbage now after years in the NFL? Certainly. Would I be shocked if he went from garbage in college to good in the NFL? Yep.

I keep seeing folks say how bad Trubisky is, and I remember hearing all the jokes at his expense. I just looked at his numbers, and his teams results and, other than a very bad rookie year, I'm confused why folks think hes so bad. Across the board his results are almost all better than Baker. Completion %, int %, TD %, W-L record, etc. And he's had Matt Nagy that entire time, so it's not like he had Hoodie coaching him up.

So, why do folks think hes so bad?

For the record, I'm looking at guys like Minshew, Foles, Mitch, Mariota, etc for next year, so feel free to dismiss my opinion.

Maybe progressive can help us out here by giving Wilson or Watson the @ home with baker mayfield commercials if they’re willing to waive their No. trade clause and play in Cleveland?
