I don't know I don't make or understand all the rules when it comes to NBA trades. I just remember that most moves don't become official until the league year opens which is Friday.

Im not concerned I just think there are so many dumb rules in NBA like that and also the trading of draft picks so players wear the wrong hats on draft night etc Just over the top rules

I’m surprised there’s still some posters out there who think Rubio is going to come off the bench…

This dude is a starter. Him + Garland is an excellent back court which gives Sexton free reign when he inevitably comes off the bench.

I think if he can stay healthy he will raise this teams potential on offense. This was exactly the right type of move. We have 3 young guys in Mobley, Okoro, and Darius with really high IQ's in my opinion. They need a guy like this to guide them.

A year old video but you can see the positive effect of Rubio. Not as good as CP3, but definitely a great addition to the cavs young team. He will be good for the developments of sexland, okoro and frobley. I just hope our coaching staff is up to task.

On any given night he’ll play between 22-32 minutes, probably averaging about 28mpg

Whether that is starting or off the bench, the role will be large and consistent
And JBB will probably space things so that one or both of Garland and Rubio are on the court for all 48 minutes

But I wouldn’t make assumptions yet on whether he’ll start or not yet

I don't think it's as much people thinking Okoro gets significant minutes at SG as it is thinking Okoro's best position is SG. And this disconnect is probably one of the stronger arguments to move Sexton, unfortunately.
