Round 1, Game 1 | Cavaliers vs. Bulls | April 17, 2010 | 3:00 EST ABC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just got back... Very good game.

Just curious though, it's probably somewhere in these 45 pages, but did they show the banner on national TV? I walked past it while I was leaving the Q and it looks great.

It got put up too late for it to be shown on tv.

Nope, not on the ESPN ABC telecast

I really don't feel like searching throughout the thread or make a completely new (and unnecessary) thread about it, but what do you all think about the fans today? I'm sorry, but when the lead was cut to 7, absolutely no one was standing. Granted, we all feel the Cavs are championship bound, but it seemed like they were expecting a win. No one waved a towel until LeBron had his and-1 to seal the game. To quote Delotne, "It's the playoffs, man!" People need to act like it. I mean, Golden State fans will scream for a lottery team in the regular season, and we can't even make a sound during the fourth quarter? Ridiculous.

Do something about it. BTW try watching a Hawks game......

Do something about it.

I will for game 3, but since I live in Chicago, not much I can do. Not calling people out, just asking if anyone else noticed it. Good response though, really a stimulating rejonder.

Does anyone have info on what the Playoff intro was like?

It was interesting. There was a video sequence.Started out with pictures of the Magic celebrating and us hanging our heads from last year and started playing some inspirational music. Then mentioned all our off-season moves with a video sequence. Delonte was talking, couldn't really hear it..it was really loud. They basically detailed all the obstacles we've overcome throughout the season and really played at the "all-together" theme. Showed video of all the injuries(Mo, Shaq, Delonte), showed Z breaking the record and coming back. Showed the Jamison trade(a foe becomes a friend).

As for Lasagna; I was at the game, and the crowd did tense but a bit when Chicago went on that run, but as soon as we put it back up to 9 people got back into it. The Q is much louder and crazier than anyone watching on TV can imagine.

At times, I've always felt that our fans dont cheer or stand behind the team at neccessary times. I guess its just a natural reaction of people when they feel that opposing team coming back but our fans NEED to stand up and cheer and be loud for the whole game. I think the players need that.

Cool, what was the music?

good win..I was a bit miffed about the scoring drought the Cavs had..when asked about it MB said we got excited and made too many TO's..well true...but news flash MB..when you see your team start having this issues don't always wait to see if they'll play out of it..simply call a TO to calm them down..

Thanks for some actual responses. I'm not trying to be that douche that says, "we're not loud enough!" but it just struck me as odd for game 1 of the playoffs. Also, I'm sure it was rowdy during the commerical breaks. And I'm sure jealousyhas a part in my original feelings.

Nevertheless, I will surely need an escort after the Cavs win on Thursday at the UC.

The only criticism of this game I have was that the Cavs need to punish more in the paint and not settle for jump shots. Although i've been saying this all year.. :chuckles:

LeBron's aggression was not there tonight. That was the only reason the run happened like that. I saw a few times when he had Taj Gibson guarding him and Noah didn't get all the way back to the basket; LeBron could have easily gotten to the hole for a lay-up uncontested, but he slowed things down and gave the ball up allowing them to set their defense. He was really working hard to try to get the other guys involved in actually running the offense without him even touching the ball, from what I saw.

I liked Shaq getting fouls on their bigs early and Noah whining.

Also the team getting a big lead early mostly without LeBron having to score a ton. (Jamison, Shaq, Mo, Delonte, AV)

We had the drought, but that's going to happen from time to time. Win's a win, lets do it again next time.

Good physical game....Bulls fought hard but didnt have enough scorers...And jeez, rose knows how to score the basketball...Just reminds me of a mini lebron

-Shaq looked good out there...
-Having AJ to space the floor really helped out there
-to be fair, there wasnt no need for lebron to push brad miller after miller wrapped him up
-thought we could have did better in the 4th...Just kind of sloppy
