Round 1, Game 1 | Cavaliers vs. Pistons | April 18, 2009 | 3:00 EST ABC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I need some legit ways to call off work saturday. Or just leave a bit early?

I think the Pistons hopes are already crushed before the first game. Look for a blow out. O by the way.... does anyone know if we got the record for the biggest lead ever in a division?

We tied it earlier in the season with a 25 game lead over the Pistons ... I think we hit 25.5 at one point during the season, though, which would set a new record.

Camakazee?

Stop calling me out! :chuckles:

Not entirely sure of that record to be completely honest.

CCF, great job on the game thread, complete with the "play me" song to get everyone pumped. Also enjoyed the shout-out

I believe Chicago had to lose, and us win. I recall the record was 26....not positive though. We ended up with a 25 game lead. :thumbdown

Goin into school tomorrow with my cavs hat on all the teachers probably gonna tell me to take it off or GTFO

While reading it, I played the song. As I scrolled down to Michael Curry's picture, the song reached the "live a lie, live a lie" part.

Then, as I hit the Cavs girls part, Lil' Wayne started singing his part with all the girls names.

As Sheed would say, "song don't lie".

And all in the world is fine.....

The McDyess photo brings back good memories, I remember Carlos Loozer had like a clock and the lights out in a .gif as if he was still sitting on the bench. So what are the odds he has that same face on at the end of the series knowing he could have been with the Cavs? :D

Im do anxious for this game to start. Its kinda ironic how everyone thought AI was gonna make them a championship team and now he is helping against them for us to defeat them in the first round. We should win, the pistons are playing without BILLUPS! Mcydess made the wrong choice.

so when do we start pulling out the "lets go cavs" chant or the tacos, or the nachos?? are those later in the playoffs good luck charms or should we stay with them throughout? what about calling the team the cavalers, that seemed to be working too.

final question how often should i wash my lucky boxers, do i wait till they lose or after every round, what if they win the championship do i never wash my boxers again? for that matter what about showers??

Camakazee's neat-o stat of the thread.

While the last loss was under different circumstances (resting our starters, and going from regular season to post season), the Detroit Pistons should be fully aware of how the Cleveland Cavaliers respond to losses when the following game is at home:

- Record: 9-0.

- Cavaliers: 105.2 points per game.

- Opponent: 87.0 points per game.

- LeBron James (9 games): 23.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 7.4 assists in only 36.4 minutes per game.

No your eyes do not deceive. In the nine home games following a loss, the Cavaliers are undefeated, beating their opponent by an average of 18.2 points per game. Furthermore, all nine wins have been by double-digits. As I mentioned, this game comes under different circumstances, but consider the Windhorst piece and how the team reacted to last game as a real loss and we should be in for some fireworks Saturday afternoon

I have an exam at 4:00 PM. :(
