Round 2 Game 1 | Cavs vs. Celtics | May 1, 2010 | 8:00 EST TNT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Nate Robinson looks like he has a brain the size of a walnut. His Napoleon Complex only makes things worse.

I believe the Cavs only need to look at the Spurs/Mavs series for a warning. Some said the Mavs made the biggest and best trades at the break. Some say the Cavs made the biggest splash. As we sit here, Mark Cuban spent millions and built a team he thought could win it all. Some picked Dallas to come out of the West. They get beat in the first round to a team who is aging and plays good D and likes to play mostly at half court.

Guess what? That describes the Celtics as well. It also describes the Cavs owner Dan Gilbert as well. Him and Cuban are very similar in many ways.

The Cavs better be ready to play. ALL players will have to step up as I also believe the Celtics will focus on limiting the impact LeBron will have on the game. We cannot allow Boston to steal one of these first two games. We just can't.

GO CAVS!

You sir make valid points.

Chemistry is key. I think Boston has better chemistry with their core than we do, simply because of time spent together.

Hopefully Jamison. Shaq and James gel and play fluid together....

# Spooner worked last Cavs-Celtics game, heated affair with 6 technicals. More known for calling "crab dribble" a travel on LBJ last yr. 3 minutes ago via web

# Officials for tonight: Ed F. Rush, Jason Phillips, Bill Spooner. Cavs had more losses w/Rush this season than any other crew chief. 7 minutes ago via web

From Windy. Not good news on the officiating front. Eddie F. Rush is awful.

Cavs starters May 6, '08: D. West, W. Szczerbiak, LeBron, B. Wallace, Z. Ilgauskas. Bench: J. Smith, D. Gibson, A. Varejao, S. Pavlovic

The only thing I wish we had from 08 is Z's younger body. If he had that same consistency on his jump shot that he had that year what a combo we would have with Shaq/Z.

The most interesting thing about this matchup is last time no one could freakin score. This time around we are much much better offense but w/o Wallace and w/ Shaq/Mo we're aren't as good on defense. Hoping that the offensive gains more then overshadow our drop in defense

Play less shaq.
play a bit of z
play more of jj
play alot of av.

Here is your NumbersDon't preview for Game 1:

Game Preview – Saturday May 1, 2010 – Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers – Game 1

Each team disposed of their 1st round opponent in 5 games, showing their superiority. Only 1 team will get to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. In a rematch of a round 2 series from 2 seasons ago, this will probably not be the epic battle it was in ‘08. The Cavaliers are a better team than 2 seasons ago, Boston is 2 years older, and the Cavaliers are out to get revenge for that Game 7 loss in Boston. Boston will not lie down, however. They are as hungry as ever to get 1 more ring before the so-called “Big 3″ are finished, and they will not go down without a fight.

View it in its entirety.

Word...

Rush: 4-3
Phillips: 1-3
Spooner: 4-1

Total: 9-7

Those are the regular season records. Rush is 1-0 (game 1) and Phillips is 0-1 (game 3) in the playoffs. Spooner has four wins, but his sole loss was Cleveland's last game in Boston. The combined record of 9-7 is the second worse regular season combined record so far this postseason, behind only the 7-7 record from the crew that officiated game 3, which was a loss. Needless to say, not too thrilled about these guys.

im totally with you Cam the other thing is spooner is the guy that made the "crab dribble" call. That was a windy tweet that wasnt posted yet.

Any chance you know what the celtics record is with this guys for a comparison? I full expect the celtics to have a combined 16-0 with these guys but it would be nice if in fact it turned out it was even

I hope the Cavs don't analyze the refs before the game like members and the media do. If they do, we are in trouble before the game starts. If we simply play the game the right way, and don't worry about the damn calls good or bad, we win. If we cry about a foul or a no-call throughout the game, we lose.

Re: Round 2 Game 1 | Cavs vs. Celtics | May 1, 2010 | Time=TBD TNT

Quoted for truth!

I absolutely detest the Celtics and I hope the Cavs can destroy them.

I think your sig should say number 1 against 4 number 2s. I hope you get what I mean.
