Random thought: I wouldn't mind snagging Chris Duarte from Indy for the bench. He looked like the most polished rookie last season while shooting 37% from 3.
What do we have to offer? If we could sneak into the Nets - Mavs trade & acquire Finney-Smith, it would be the best case scenerio trade deadline.
I'm salivating at the thought of Finey-Smith at the 3. As a matter of fact, I'm typing this with one hand.
Cap-relief, I guess. The trade would look similar to the Jarrett Allen transaction. Maybe Isaac Okoro has some appeal to Brooklyn. What do we have to offer?
I see no reason why Bkn does this. They are giving up the best player in the trade for cap relief. And to a conference rival? Color me unlikelyAs a matter of fact, I think I found the perfect trade.
Cleveland receives: Dorian Finney-Smith & Joe Harris
Brooklyn receives: Caris LeVert, Cedi Osman & Dylan Windler
Why?
Cleveland finally gets the coveted wing, & as a bonus, add a legitimate 3-point threat.
Brooklyn shaves a ton of future salary & re-unite LeVert with Dinwiddie.
I think the Nets are going to blow it up this trade deadline, so trading DFS to a conference rival becomes irrelevant to them, if that happens.I see no reason why Bkn does this. They are giving up the best player in the trade for cap relief. And to a conference rival? Color me unlikely
I guess thats possible, but I am not sure that they do blow it up. Their current group with a healthy KD is at least a Finals threat in the EastI think the Nets are going to blow it up this trade deadline, so trading DFS to a conference rival becomes irrelevant to them, if that happens.
Cedi, Windler and a second for Williams and Gallo works. Don't know if they want to face Williams in the playoffs year after year.
