We are trading a 28 year old for a 33 year old? The 28 year old is a good defender and ball handler and average shooter (his 2 point shot will improve) whil ethe 33 year old is a horrible defender and ball handler but great shooter.

This is an awful trade, we get older, worse defense and worse ball handling and passing and only pick up shooting.

Pretty much. Not much that can be done about it now though.

Taking Vassell over Okoro in the next draft would've been good too.

Koby lucked into both Garland and Mobley but otherwise his drafting has been a bit meh. He's been alot better in his trades (Mitchell, Allen, Lauri, Rubio, LeVert).

LeVert is Larry Hughes. Inefficient with no upside unless he's putting up 15+ shots a night which isn't his role here.

Bojan is a legit 3 and D with size and despite your qualms about his age and defense - he's currently averaging 23 points with a 70 TS% and has a higher defensive rating than Caris thus far.

I'm not saying he would be part of our core - I'm saying LeVert isn't so he's tradable.

3ish years of Bojan who's game is actually aging quite nicely is a great fit in my opinion.

If you're athletic and your basketball IQ isn't totally garbage then you always have upside. Andre Iguodala went to Golden State at 30 years old, adapted to a new role, and then won a finals MVP for "guarding" LeBron (or whatever Iguodala was doing while LeBron was averaging 35+ ppg against him).

Bojan literally has no upside. He's not athletic. It'd be like replacing LeVert with Kevin Love at SF.

You acquire a player at the deadline for cheap that does exactly what Bogdanovic would do here. You just have to be patient and wait until teams are trying to unload players and tank, either via trade or buyout.

Unless we’re getting a young, seriously impactful player at the forward spot, the only guys we’ll probably consider moving are Okoro, Windler, Stevens, and Cedi. Tough for me to see anyone else being moved.

We have 3 guys playing well at SF right now in LeVert, Wade and Cedi.

I get why people think we need one, but do we? 15pts from Cedi, 10-12 from Wade. LeVert is playing sg right now, but he can score too.

We are fine for the time being. I'm waiting for a wing to demolish this group, but LeVert has been better than we have seen, Wade has been good,and Mobley has slowed bigger guys too like Banchero and Tatum who he was on at the end of games and basically took them out.

I also really can't see how we can get an upgrade at the 3 without losing another important piece.

I think having a consistent shooter and defender as the starting 3 (for a whole season) is someone we're looking for. Cedi hasn't shown he can be that guy for a whole season and Caris is very up and down as a shooter but can get into his bag and make a huge difference. But I also think part of it is people just want to see someone fresh at the SF position and get rid of Okoro so we never have to watch him get minutes again

I’d move Cedi. I like him, but he’s always been incredibly streaky. He’s eligible for an extension next season. I’d probably wait until we see him with Rubio back, but Okoro, Cedi, and Windler add up to about $19M, which could net us a pretty good player around the deadline. Cedi and Windler can be expirings.

I think the ideal situation would be finding a more consistent shooter & defender to start and have LeVert as 6th man playing with Rubio, Wade, and Love.

I hope they are opportunities and continue looking for upgrades, but I feel better than I did about this even with Okoro playing poorly
