So Long Jordan Clarkson ( aka Chucky McJumperson)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Henson shouldn't be brought back and I would pass on using a top 5 pick on Okongwu when he doesn't profile as a star.
Henson should certainly be brought back, completely disagree with you there. Which 5 players in this draft profile as stars to you?

I'm not particularly high on this draft in general. But I would say Edwards (Who I think will bust), Ball, Wiseman, Hampton, Deni, Cole Anthony, Jaden Mcdaniels as higher upside picks. Okongwu is a high floor-mid Ceiling type player I would hate to pick in the top 5. While I believe Wiseman has higher upside then Okongwu I would be just as hesitant to pick him. It's 2019 and picking someone who can't shoot from deep in the top 5 is moronic.

If you want a big without range and defensive upside buy a pick in the 20s for Vernon Carey or Zeke Nnaji. To me drafting a defensive minded center in the top 5 is like using a first round pick on a running back. The value will be there later in the draft.

Would much rather Okongwu than Hampton (he really sucks, wouldnt use a lottery pick on him), Anthony, McDaniels and Deni personally

No value in picking a defensive big top 5. Anthony I can understand passing on considering all our guards. Really a bad year of all guards. But I would take Deni and McDaniels over Okongwu. Bad investment waiting to happen for a team.

Bam should have gone top 5 in 2017 but teams picked Josh Jackson and Lonzo Ball instead

Jackson and Ball couldn't shoot and still can't. But Bam was picked where someone with his skill set should be. The teens. Teams swung and missed on the boom or bust players. But Bam can't carry a team himself. He's a solid complimentary piece and picking in the 5 you should want more then that. Because if your picking in the top 5 your likely missing more then a defensive anchor.

I would be in favour of the Cavs trading down if Edwards or Ball aren't available at their pick for Okongwu

Btw if anyone wanted a decent player comparison for RJ Hampton its none other than our newest Cavalier

If they trade down I would much prefer Jaden Mcdaniels as the target. Maybe even Tyrese Haliburton if he can keep doing well once Big 12 play starts. Buy a late first and get Vernon Carey or Zeke Nnaji if you want a big without an outside shot but defensive upside.

Is Hampton also frail and unlikely to ever play a full season after his rookie year? Exum is a terrible comp for any player considering he's never been healthy enough to develop further. So unless your implying Hampton will be stagnant and never develop due to injuries the comp makes little sense.

RJ Hampton is already injured

mmm agree to disagree here, also Vernon Carey is long gone by 'late first round'

He has hip injury. Not like he tore his ACL nor is there evidence to suggest its going to be a recurring theme like it has been with Exum.

He plays a similar style to Exum and is fragile/injury prone to date. Also has shown he was an overrated shooter coming into the season

Not really one hip injury doesn't make somebody fragile. If he comes back and gets hurt right away I could see a possible argument to be made.
