Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Tossed in 200 at the start (Fanduel, MGM, DraftKings) up to 1100. Gonna cash out when the promotional budgets run out--which should be the super bowl as the last push.

Placed 4 $50 bets on the Cavs today between moneyline and spreads. Used all 3 of the MLK 30% boosts from DK.

Maxed out the "Brandon Marshall boost" for $50 (Brady over 200 yards, Godwin and CeeDee each over 40) as well as betting the under for 50 no sweat bet during the first quarter.

Easy 200 bucks on Fanduel. Going to be up to roughly 1200 across the three accounts (might close MGM soon. They just aren't doing promos)

I’m evidently awful at choosing my bets. I’ll continue to use MGM, I’d like to get rewards/comped rooms when I go back to Vegas.

I've pretty much only took the freebies, like +100 for a team to score a point--then whatever bonus bets they give me I've been putting on the Cavs in the right situation.

Try to stay away from sucker bets. No parlays--and ESPECIALLY not the "pre-packaged" parlays they advertise at the top of the screen.

Yeah, I’ve taken the free ones, but every time I go to branch out I lose. Do you just do standalone bets then I’m assuming?

Parlays are generally sucker bets. People love them because of the odds, but expecting 3, 4, 5 things to hit isn't sound strategy. Unless you get boosted odds like Rafters mentioned.

You're better off sticking to your one offs that you're confident in.

I'd make the switch to FD if I were you. They run regular promotions and boost odds often. I'm up like $600 on just boosted odds/promotions from them already. I've been hitting pretty well on NBA. Best bet so far was Donovan +700 to score 40+ the night he went for 71. I've cashed out over a grand on there already, and that's with fairly minimal betting.

Yes.

Moneyline when possible. I bet on the spread yesterday because I was confident (and the moneyline was awful, like -300 or something)

I’ve got FD, Draftkings, and MGM going.

Appreciate the advice fellas.

What made you so confident he’d score over 40? The matchup? I’ve been out of the NBA loop recently and trying to get back in and watch the Cavs. Do you have resources you use for NBA/NFL?

Edit- I do have the money to play around with, would rather not be as bad at this though.

I can't say it was anything more than a gut feeling. Garland was out so I figured he'd put up big numbers.

One twitter, @underdog_nba is a good follow. They will post inactives immediately and if you have notifications on, you can usually get to the book before the line changes. Outside of that, it's just following the NBA closely and looking for value where you can get it.

I posted some tools early in the thread that help you even the odds some by betting on the math and percentages of covers on spreads. It doesn't make it a sure bet but when you bet that a home team that has covered the spread 70% of the time it helps even the odds in your favor.

I somehow missed that, I’ll have to take a look.
