Standup comedy

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I usually catch one live comedy show a year. I saw Mulaney last year - it was basically the show he put out recently: Baby J - and I'm catching Daniel Sloss in May. I caught a few acts who bombed in the past and it soured me on paying high prices for a show... I would argue the Netflix success has sparked comedians to step it up again.

He’s very solid, saw him a few years back just before Covid. You’ll enjoy it for sure.

Saw Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer in Vegas this past weekend. Both funny although Segura is the better comedian/story teller. What was really cool is that they didn’t say who would be opening and then we got 10 mins each from Trevor Wallace, Bobby Lee, and Shane Gillis. Probably the best all around show I’ve been to.
He was great.

Gonna make sure I see Segura. Loved him when he was chubby. Now that he’s thin, he’s getting in the habit of punching down which is where Chappelle lost me.

Hope someone tells him and he finds a balance. Part of what made George Carlin so great is that he never lost the plot. Bill Burr hasn’t either. Conan, who isn’t a standup guy, gets it.

Bill burr is getting close to that point. Still funny but he’s noticeably more Hollywood than he was 10 years ago.

Bill Burr's comedy is still his comedy, he just has allot of other projects going on and his comedy isnt his only focus.

But thats what happens to someone who gets bigger, as long as when he is doing standup it doesnt suffer, which in my opinion it has not. But i am biased, Bill Burr is my favorite.

I’m going to see Burr for the third time in April. First two in Cleveland, this one will be in Phoenix.

Where at in Phoenix? I saw him in Phoenix not a few years ago.

JOEY "COCO" MOTHAFUCKING DIAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys have to get in on this.

This is the worst comedian of all time. He is famous for being so bad, is a local celebrity, and would be rich if he'd just lean into being good because he's so bad.

We have been watching Tom myers videos for weeks now. In that time we've counted a total of 3 jokes that make sense

I present to you, the bong hit transplant joke.

@The Oi

Anybody else into it? Vanessa has been taking a workshop and it's fun seeing the class go up and bomb, or do well, and see how their natural talents or deficiencies come into play and how they individually need to work on stuff to come up with a good set.

Lots of specials coming out bc they're so cheap to make.. most are bad. It's interesting that like, these people who are not good, can pack a theatre and have good responses and have somehow provided themselves enough financial stability to keep it going.

Sheng Weng is one that I really liked. Jacqueline novak is a particularly bad one I've seen recently. Even the bad ones are fun to watch. Why is it bad? Could the jokes be written differently or what's going on? How is this person successful? Etc etc
Nah man, fuck comedy. Who likes to laugh

Just got tockets to kill tony in la, thank you @DJTJ for the rec, i absolutely lovr this show.

Starting to write, i think im gonna have fun with this for awhile

I saw him live in L.A. with my brother in 2007ish - right around when Grandma's Boy came out. Pretty small venue. He was good-to-very good! Seems like he's fallen way off since.

I did a mortgage for the guy who played JP from Grandma's Boy, lol
