If by the end of next season his offense still looks like this I say we just double down on trying to turn him into a defensive monster. He might not ever be able to make a shot consistently from more than 8 ft out but we sure as hell can load up him on HGH and have him kill wild boars with his bare hands for strength and toughness in the off season.
It's gotta be a slow, patient process with Tristan in that regard. We can't expect him to go from last year to having post moves and taking people off the dribble at will overnight.
What I want to see from Tristan this season is improvement near the basket. Less fumbling the ball, less time wasted gathering, less getting it knocked away, etc. Get the ball, control it, finish it. If he can do that, and continue to improve his FT shooting, he'll already be a double double machine with increased minutes. Then we can start to worry about more advanced things.
