Super Bowl LVI - Ohio vs Odell

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What year are we in again? Steelers have 7 punts in the first half

There’s not 5 more physically gifted than him either…

But I legit don’t think Njoku likes football or has a passion for the game…

I don’t think that last part is fair to speculate. Njoku was the only bright spot with our skill players outside of Chubb. He’s also been a lot more vocal and he seems to have really bought in to being here.

First quarter of chiefs game... Mahomes misses multiple wide open guys, is trying to force things, and is not impressive....

I've seen Baker do more with less. Maybe a bad quarter, but makes me think maybe fans here don't watch other qbs
Watching the playoffs I see how far away Baker is. I mean Christ dude…he’s stratospheres away from Mahomes

This take was destined to age poorly but there’s a bigger point to make here.

We really need to end this narrative that Baker is an enigma at QB. His play is pretty straight forward. After 60 games there’s not much more to debate. It’s not hard to formulate an opinion on him.

This idea that Browns fans who watch Baker and are not impressed with his okay are somehow not getting it is laughable at this point.

Unless you only count his 10 game stretch in 2020 when he was slightly above average against subpar competition.

I left the bar after the first quarter but I watched mahomes miss a wide open Kelce and WR on the same play..... A play this board would have ripped Baker apart for.

Yeah mahomes is an MVP, but as every god damd QB out there misses plays

I agree it might not be fair but that’s just what I believe.

I’ve seem him catch some screens and rip off some runs and occasionally be a red zone target (that’s more of the QB’s issues however)

And maybe he would be more effective with a better QB ? But I just don’t see him making tough catches or getting open and finding holes in the defense down field…

I just see a player who makes a play if it’s there and doesn’t really exert or extend himself all that much…. I like him but I definitely don’t see that passion or drive or tough play that usually the great players of that position display…

We all understand that plays are missed. What you’re not understanding is that Baker Mayfield has not made plays that need to be made in a consistent basis though the first 60 games of his career. He’s had way more bad stretches of play than gold stretches.

Going tit for tat with Baker and other QB’s will not end well for Baker. I promise you. He’s not that guy.

You know the reason why I believe he would be more effective with a better QB?

When I look at the skill position players, all of them underperformed. Either they all took a step back or something else was holding them back. There’s only two things that can hold back all of your skill players. It can either be the QB play or the offensive scheme/play calling. Well our O-Line and running game was still one of the best in the league so it looks like we can eliminate the offense being the problem for every skill player.

So that leads me to believe that the QB play severely held back slog of players this season. I do not think that they are all this bad. The QB however………
