Allen could fit into that mix as well, taking the LF platoon spot or just being the utility OF with Luplow in RF.

If there is a genuine competition in camp, then I could very well see Daniel Johnson opening the season as Luplow’s platoon partner instead of Bauers. A RHB veteran who could be had on a fairly cheap deal is Avisail Garcia.

The voices that keep clamoring for the Tribe to sign him to a multi year deal are overwhelmingly casual baseball fans who appreciate his entertainment value more than anything. He’s been a slightly above replacement level player for most of his career, although he can catch fire at certain points. I wouldn’t be opposed to bringing him back on a one year deal at a reasonable price, especially considering how Naquin won’t be back in action until midseason, but he should get at least a two or three year deal elsewhere.

Too early for a make or break year, but he does need to show everyone he has been working hard and on his game. I think at the moment he is better overall player than Bradley for 1B

Not too early when you’re about to get passed by other people in the system. Let me know when you get a handle on his mental state, though.

I know Santana will be, which I don’t know if there is any room for Bradley and I don’t know why you would give up on a guy at 23 who has major league experience so quickly

I’m literally saying they should do the opposite, and give him at least another year to prove himself.

Yes, next year...his second at the big league level, is likely a year which will decide his fate. He can produce, or he’ll get passed.

Who else will pass him before 2021 season? We only have Bobby Bradley at 1B and the OF we really don’t have anyone there after Johnson and Tom if you look at everything. 2021 is a retool season on paper so unless we extend Santana and going into his age 25 season, that will be the season that is his make or break in my mind not next season.

Don’t get me wrong I feel he needs to show improvement next season, but it’s not really until 2021 in my mind that he has to be make or break.

Personally I am vastly more interested to see who plays 2nd base opening day for the Indians than whomever is standing in the outfield to start.
