The 2021 Cleveland Baseball Organization

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thanks! I always keep close tabs on teams like the A's and Rays (our brethren) to see how they're doing; I always feel they have it tougher than we do having larger markets to compete against. In that light, our accomplishments don't seem as bright as theirs. I wondered if the A's were finally going to feel the pain after losing key players in the offseason and having an absolutely miserable start (1-7 and not even looking competitive) but here they are, already way ahead of the Astros, the team that beat them by an average of 9 runs a game in an opening series 3-game sweep. Sometimes it just takes a moment to turn your season completely around.

The Tribe is searching for such a spark.

The Royals are 12-7 with a run differential of -1. The Twins are 7-12 with a run differential of -5.

Just thought that was interesting. The Royals are not a .631 team - they should be about .500 same as the Twins. So far the A.L. Central is looking really mediocre except for the Tigers at 7-14.

maybe its that 111/172/148/321 slash v rh pitching?

coming in to today every team in our division had a negative run differential except the white sox

we cant wait to see him down here in cbus
If he passes waivers, we can outright him to Columbus, correct? What status do you have to have to possess the right to refuse being outrighted and become a free agent?

are there still different types of waivers? - one for giving a player his release, another to maintain control of the player if he clears waivers, etc? also, i believe if you have a certain amount of service time, you can decline to be assigned to the waiving (in bauer's case waving?) clubs minor league team - 5 years i think?

we need to move on from bauersbradleyzimmeryang and start looking to the next group we have and start them moving thru the system, imo

Nope - only 1 type of waivers now - the type were player control is given away to anyone claiming that player...

When the waiver trade deadline was eliminated a few ago, "revocable waivers" was also eliminated.

EDIT: a player can refuse assignment to the minors but it is after they have accrued a set amount of MLB service time. Yes, that is 5 yrs of service time
