The Boozer Back Trial Balloon

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No doubting that Disector. My point was I would not pay Boozer those dollars as he had major floors that were overlooked. Much like McInnis's defense until midseason, just ignored by the fans.

The guy that preaches about defense and over paying Z wants Boozer back.

Does anybody else see the comedy in that besides me?

well if the Cavs do resign Z and bring in Redd or Allen that gives them the ability to trade Gooden and try to find a defensive/rebounding minded 4. who knows maybe that guy is Anderson.

Not yet...

Keep Andy on the bench, give him time

Andy is not that good a defender yet. He just husltled and pressured players. He never "locked down" guys at all. He just threw himself everywhere which at times got results, but other times gave up a foul or an easy two. He isn't nearly there yet, but the attitude is there and that is half the battle.

Sadly what you named and that alone is why he played better defense than virtually everyone else on the team (and it's not really close, AV just has more heart for it).

The only way to acquire Boozer back is to trade Gooden and Snow, which is a no brainer.

Boozer is without a doubt a better NBA player then Gooden and Snow is a horrible shooter for a pg who has a contract that is getting worse and worse.

That makes this move a no brainer if your looking to get an upgrade at a position.

If you find comedy in upgrading the team then you must not like the idea of winning.

I find comedy in taking onthe contract that Boozer has.

Id much rather have Snows contract and Drew than Boozer and his contract.

We just have to disagree on this then.

I think Snow's contract is rediculous for a player with such limited abilities and Gooden will be looking for a new contract next year paying him alot more then he is probably worth.

To me the Cavs take on a bad contract but do get a solid player in Boozer while dumping at least 1 bad contract and possibly negating having to overpay another while having thier PF locked up for the next 5 years.

Solid player when we already have one that will be cheaper and could be better given the right coaching.

Boozer's contract will never equal his playing talents. Horrible defender, limited on offense. Hard worker, that's about it. Will get the job done, but kills me how you would pay Boozer over $10 mill but you fight against the world if Z got that, who is a much much much much better player than Boozer will EVER be.

Irony is killing me here.

Boozers window of potential isn't very high. And this thread should be closed. discussing boozer coming to play for cleveland :vomit:

of course, after this season we'll have to pay Drew at least what Boozer is getting and still will be paying Snow. If we're going to trade Drew/Snow - instead of getting Boozer, we should trade them for a starting PG or SG and go after Udonis Haslem, who should come cheaper than Drew will cost next year. Abdur-Raheem and the rumored to be luxury tax cut Austin Croshere are possibilities too.

Here we go again with the lies-
Tell me when have I said not to pay Z 10 million--never.

You might like Gooden and that's fine but he's inconsistent and makes boneheaded plays and turnovers all the time.

On top of that Gooden is going to be a free agent and demand a big contract himself, which means your solid player probably won't be back here next year either way.

I said I like the idea of getting Boozer, overpaid as he may be, if the deal includes dumping another bad contract in Snow.

You also underrate Boozer who is much more then a hard worker-He's both physically and mentally tough, plays the game smart, has a nice perimeter J for a 4, is a solid rebounder, and most importantly is consistent!

Also where is your supposed irony because I don't recall there ever being a trade that dumps a bad contract for another?

Sounds to me like your just trying to cook up some more trouble.

Utah is still looking for that consistent player they thought they signed. Fact is, he turned the ball over more then Gooden, didn't show the same drive to get the rebound as he did in Cleveland and more importantly was about as consistant as Jeff McInnis last year.

but he was the focal point of the offense.... he was actually getting doubled on the block..

he was a garbage player here- that hustled his ass off. when he was here it was all about positioning, and he got it easily, for rebounds and put-backs..

in utah he would get it on the block, and then try to go to work.. too many turnaround jumpers and fade aways..

i watched a couple of the jazz games that he played in, and he could never get it on left side- where he is most comfortable.. he's actually better going left, and using his left then his right...

he should be much better this year with deron williams getting him the ball
