This is probably accurate. Im not saying to fire the guy. Thats a bigger discussion with a lot of external variables.

To me a lot of the mistakes that are happening are in excusable for how long hes been head coach. Stefanski has the full season to prove hes worthwhile going forward, but if the haslams arent scrutinizing the field thats a mistake in my mind.

Most of the big mistakes are happening on defense, which means that Joe Woods is to blame. And I hope that Stefanski does what is needed at the end of the year and fires him.

We have a top rated offense with Jacoby Brissett and it’s the offense fault? We have three turnovers through four games. One was the Njoku fumble that did put the D in a shitty position. Brissett’s two interceptions: Jets game making a desperation throw after defense coughed up a lead and Falcons game after the defense gave up another blown coverage and personal foul penalty to get ATL in position to kick the go ahead FG. Brissett admittedly made a poor throw in that situation, but we all know he’s not the qb to bring you back late in game in the first place. The Carolina game was an aberration in that regard.

By no means am I saying the offense has played perfect, but in large part they’ve done what they’ve needed to do to win games. Stefanski has done a very good job of understanding the limitations of his personnel on offense and designing/scheming something that can be effective. It’d be great if Joe Woods could do the same.

If Steve Jobs was satisfied with good, we wouldn’t have iPhones, iPads, air pods, etc. If you aren’t trying to improve then you are falling behind. Do a great job, you keep your chair, do average and you get a box. If Berry and Haslam aren’t at least considering other guys next year, they aren’t doing their job.

Sean Payton has this team 4-0 with half of the penalties. And he sure wouldn’t have called the Njoku reverse. That’s a fact.

Stefanski has lost the blind faith of the fans and team. And that is reason enough for him to get warm under the seat. Smartest guy in the room may end up the smartest guy on the street if he doesn’t improve quickly.

I suppose a well informed fan just pulls out the “No true scotsman” fallacy to counter points he doesnt personally agree with?

Kudos on being the #1 fan!

You didn't make a point, you made a fallacy argument.

There is nothing to "counter," there is only acknowledging that uninformed fans usually rely on such fallacy arguments in place of actual, valid points.

Imagine where we would be if we had Andy Reid or Kyle Shannan. Hell, imagine if we had Patrick Shurmur back!!! 4-0 without a doubt with Patrick!!!!

Imagine if we had Fiona Apple.

Andrew Browns would never have to worry about hiring another coach again.

Bill Parcells has this team 5-0 with grit.

Not taking questions.

If I were looking at KS as an OC i would rate him highly. But hes the head coach and so to me that includes the defense and special teams as well as situational awareness. All that shit rolls uphill and not being willing to address deficiencies out of loyalty is a negative to me.

Hopefully we see him shake things up to improve the product.

Am I the only one that gets confused by the, "tHiS tEaM iS nOtHiNg LiKe ThE gUaRdIaNs/CaVs!111" type of comments?

It's such a weird, nephew-like energy... like people don't want the Browns getting more attention than the others. I can't really put my finger on it but it's there.

Stefanski runs the offense, which is currently top five in the NFL despite a backup QB and a relatively weak WR room. He doesn’t call plays on defense. He is Joe Woods’ boss, though, and if he keeps him after yet another year or underperforming defense, that’s certainly something to complain about.
