Does anyone else follow EPL? Or root for anyone who isn’t top6?

I root for Leeds. They’re signing Rutter, and I couldn’t be more excited. Rutter, Gnoto, Summerville/Sinessterra front has be jazzed.

After that 7-1 drubbing of Grenada, USMNT is up 1-0 over El Salvador.

The Balogun rumors are heating up, and he's only fanning the flames.

Miles Robinson looks great back from his Achilles injury.

Did Pepi get his groove back?

Can Gio regain credibility after acting like a spoiled little bitch during the world cup?

Lots of fun story lines on this young, talented team.

Messi taking his talents to South Beach....

i dont follow soccer but that has to be a shocker.

Messi might not be the overwhelming top player in the world anymore, but this is more than the MLS getting a retirement tour.

Messi just won the World Cup as the main producer for his team and was chased by Barcelona. He's, still, an incredible player and should be a huge attraction to the MLS. Unlike Beckham, Messi has plenty left in the tank.

And I'm beyond thrilled he chose a real league like the MLS and not that Saudi League.

Yeah Messi might not be in his prime anymore and it will be interesting to see what they surround him with since he's always been surrounded by tons of talent, but I'd have a hard time arguing this isn't the biggest ever signing for the MLS. Obviously generation are always hard to compare no matter the sport but Messi would defiantly be in the soccer GOAT conversation with guys like Pele, Maradona, Ronaldo, and eventually if healthy I'm sure Mbappe etc. so that's a draw in of itself. As for his current play he had 16 goals and 16 assist in league play for the French champs PSG and as you mentioned was an integral part of finally bringing a World Cup championship back to Argentina.

Just the tix prices for the potential first games he might be playing in have skyrocketed up 1000% from what they were a week or two ago and hard to see the novelty of him traveling to a city much closer to people doesn't bring out the causal fan for the next season or so. Gotta imagine that the other commercial parts of this such as TV and merch could see a sizeable boost as well which probably played a factor in him coming over cause it sounds like he's getting a cut of each from those prime sponsors.
