Attendance isn't the end-all be-all, it only tells a portion of the story.

I prefer to watch the Browns on TV at home or at a bar. The experience is better for me. I get commentary, replays, have the freedom to move around and get comfortable, don't have to pay an arm and a leg for food/drinks. I actually go and tailgate most home games and then hang out with friends at home or at a bar for the actual game.

I'm cool with anyone who does the same, so attendance numbers alone definitely don't tell the whole story.

My comment on Cincinnati fans was a combination of things. They couldn't get butts in the seats and were constantly blacked out on TV, yes. But more disappointing than that was the apathy and disregard for the team when I was living in the area. They weren't contenders but they made the playoffs most of the years I was down there. But I couldn't have an intelligent football conversation with very many of them about their team/the division. They could talk Reds all day but Bengals? They were pretty detached.

I get some people in here saying 'who cares about fair weather fanhood'. It doesn't keep me up at night by any means. But as a man who posts on a Cleveland sports forum every day, I obviously like talking sports. I was living in a city with too many disengaged fans for my liking. So I grew not to respect that fanbase.

I dunno, seems rational to me.

I'm the same way. You could offer me free tickets and I'd rather stay home. You can't see as much when you're there. Seeing everything up close, with slow motion replays and the ability to pause/rewind makes game day a far superior experience for me.

These people watched David Klinger and Akili Smith and manage to support this team to the hilt.

Browns fans can’t equal this with elite talent like Deshaun back there.

Pathetic.

Give em the Scarlet Letter @WellYouNeednt

I’ll be honest, OSU’s collapse against Georgia was so brutal for me that I have literally not watched a snap of any football since that game - college or NFL. I haven’t checked scores or anything. I have come here for off-season updates and that’s it.

So, ultimately I don’t give a shit who wins the super bowl - 99.99% chance I don’t watch it let alone care who wins. And yeah, that’s definitely on the excessive side as far as reaction but I can’t help that I lost all interest in either remaining season for 2022.

Good news it’s 2023. Dust off your cup Hanes boxer briefs and get in there. Browns fans need you to go to Cinci bars and cheer for the opposing team!

This. Exactly this. I am time poor and it would be disrespectful to my wife and a disservice to my kids to watch a middling Stains team give up 175 rushing yards instead of something more productive.

If the Browns are in meaningful games, I will be happy to disrespect my wife and disservice my children and deal w the consequences. I will spend my spouse points and go into marriage debt if we are in a playoff game.

I have some Bengal fan friends so I root for them. I look at it like “the Browns beat the SB champion this year” so we aren’t that far away, Losololololol216. But my buddy put 5 Houdini on the Eagles at +2175 before the season. He has hedged $3k even money on the AFC but still. I would love to see him cash that ticket so rooting for the Eagles over Cinci.

I like Burrow too. Ideally Lame Jackasson leaves and we actually, ya know, stop consistently disappointing our fans, and both Ohio teams make it. We better get consistently good bc Cinci isn’t going anywhere, even when Burrow’s salary goes up, for the next decade.
Good lord that’s a fucking massive payout.

This dude needs to win.
