Trade Rumors Daily

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Some point in June I believe, the 21 maybe???

I totally understand why many wouldn't want to take the chance with Brown. I feel that way about most players too especially veterans who have a long history of character problems or other issues.
I would be willing to take a chance on Brown however. But only if the price was right and it was a short term contract. He is a guy who badly needs a change of scenary and still can put it all together on a new team since he's so young.
Kwame shows far more talent and skills than Diop has ever shown. He also has produced more in his 1st 4 seasons than another HS big man Jermaine O'Neal did in his 1st 4 years in Portland. The circumstances were different but still Brown has talent to break out on a new team.

If the Cavs check him out and think he will not be a problem, is ready to accept what he has to do and can be had at a reasonable price than he's worth a look.

Personally, I would like Pau Gasol and whoever we could get from Memphis even though it doesn't seem likely, but with that being said if we could somehow someway get a Kwame Brown... I would look at it as a draft pick because honestly he's very immature he pretty much needs to start over again ... with a new team . I also think that he is stronger than a Jermaine O'Neal and quicker than most power-forwards ... this doesn't mean he has great footwork or good low post moves... although if he ever developed these skills he would definetly be a great pick-up although this is a big IF

Jimmy, I live in Park Slope and there are lots of internet cafes in Brooklyn so you don't have to schlepp into Manhattan to get on the web. Welcome to the future home of the Nets!

What do you think it means when Gilbert says he wants a team philosophy where we field the best players? I don't think Kwame Brown fits in the mold. He is a "good deal" player, and if he changes we get lucky. I don't think that fits Gilbert's style. He is going to want proven players around Lebron, because that is where his money is. Keep Lebron Happy and your 380 million dollars is a good investment.

Brown, while gifted, is not a 380 million dollar risk.

Same with some of the Memphis rumors. I don't see gilbert trading losing staff we have for losing staff somebody else has. Gilbert and his new GM/Coach will look for pieces they know can deliver in the context of Lebrons team, not Jiri Welsh, not Lucious Harris, but a better risk/reward than that. If we are going to trade Z and I think we are going to try, they will want someone they feel comfortable leaning on. That is one of the many reasons Garnett and Duncan are premiere players and Brown is not.
