Week 10 vs Texans

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Chubb is a fucking class act man.

Yea we probably still win but the defense doesn't have to take the field again. No chance of injury. Everybody can chill.

Exactly. The defense is already thin, no need to risk an injury in garbage time when you’ve got the win in hand.

I love him too, but please explain why this is a big-brain play?

Texans had no timeouts. Under a minute to go in the game. Walk in the end zone and it’s a two-score game.

the difference between a 99.999999999999% chance to win and 100%, I guess?

"They did what we preach all the time, which is that it's
impossible for an offense to make plays when they're on the
sideline. They kept us there." - Kevin Dyson 9/22/2002

In addition to not having to risk a defensive injury, Chubb also eliminated something fluke happening like the Myles Garrett situation. The Browns were up 2 scores when the Garrett/Rudolph situation happened.

If Chubb runs that touchdown in, and we win easily. Would you be bitching because he didn’t run out at the 1?

If any injuries happen after that play or The Texans get the ball back and score with a chance to get it back again then yes I would be bitching. Running it out at the 1 eliminates all of those scenarios.

And even though I would love for Chubb to score for my Draftkings lineup he still got over 100 yards on the day so we good.

Depends if a Brown got injured on the ensuing drive by the Texans.

Which was a non-issue because of Chubb.

You’re literally arguing about stuff that has a minuscule chance of happening.

How mad are you about the timeouts the Browns called when the Texans had the ball before half? What if Myles got hurt?

Avoided all of the following possibilities:

-Injuries on the ensuing kickoff

-Long return or TD in the ensuing kickoff

-Injuries to the defense on the ensuing HOU offensive series

-Quick score/fluke score on the ensuing HOU offensive series

-possible onside kick if HOU scored and the possibilities of injuries from the onside kick and/or subsequent offensive plays by HOU

-eliminated chance of any embarrassing defensive plays(which his teammates are grateful for) while playing prevent D on the possession following the TD Chubb could have scored.

So his play was smart, mindful, selfless, impactful, and necessary. It’s also the exact type of play that further enables total team buy in and selflessness in the future, because for all the TALK about being a selfless team player that coaches and players make, that was a man turning down individual glory to WALK THE WALK. And his teammates felt it. Check out the way all his defensive teammates dapped him up on the field after the clock hit zero.

Of course not, I'd never be unhappy for someone meeting expectations. Sure as shit will praise the hell out of someone who exceeds them though.
