Week 6: Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
On 20 drop backs, Baker has had a clean pocket for 3 throws and this i Baker's fault? We need quicker throws, more screens, and something to find rhythm. our offensive line is getting dick stomped...this is about the Steelers Deffensive line manhandling our offense. No QB would look good with that much pressure. Stefanski needs to figure out something, because every man on our offensive line is getting beat.

Blouses.

Can w be negative now? Two playoff teams- two blowouts.

Mayfield has made terrible decisions under an immense amount of pressure.... but the bigger concern for me is just how badly we’re getting embarrassed in the trenches on both sides of the ball today. Vanilla blitz packages by the browns have been no trouble and Baker is getting swallowed whole on ever play... and no - I don’t think it’s solely an issue of him stepping up in the pocket our adequately making the easy reads... not today.

I will say this...

I don't care how bad this game gets.

Baker Mayfield needs to play the entire game unless he is too injured to play. If he's pulled for a lack of performance, that's the end of his career.

So unless Stefanski is ready to go to Keenum permanently, keep Mayfield in.

The O-line hasn’t had anything to do with his bad throws today

Not today but in the past when the o-line had any changes or just was playing poorly, Baker would get happy feet and make bad throws.

So clearly the Browns were heavily overrated. Bengals fucking Indy up last I looked. Goddamit.

Why the hell is Baker going back out there?

Insert lame joke about Browns wearing brown pants here.

Winning QBs in the modern NFL are not only effective off-script, they are better.

wilson
Mahomes
Wentz
Rodgers
Roethlisberger
Jackson

the list goes on.

bad QBs? Almost universally bad off script. Even if they’re decent within the system

The Browns can’t win if they can’t run the ball well. Running the ball is their offense and defense. They’ve exceeded my expectations 5 games in so it is what it is but it’s painful to watch the same three positions kill us (linebacker, safety, QB).

They just don’t have a good enough QB to get behind game script.

We have run the ball ok.......but it’s tough to have balance when you get down 10-0 immediately.

Pretty much the mirror image of Baltimore. The Browns can run the ball against just about anyone but they have to avoid giveaways that get them in a hole early.
