Welcome Luke Travers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I like the idea of the organization having someone familiar nearby their draft & stash players to help bring them along (Calderon & Diop). Not sure what Delly is doing, but I'd love to hire him as a special consultant or some shit for this kid.

It make sense to draft a few stashable players. We have 11 now, 12 if you keep Sexton. With 2 Way Deals going to Brown and some other PG.

Considering how much we could lose the next year or two from the back end of our bench; I'm fine with guys like this.

Delly plays for a rival team in the NBL. Travers is on Perth. Delly plays for Melbourne.

Per NBL News:

Travers is currently in Los Angeles, where he was completing draft workouts and living with Dyson Daniels, who was drafted at pick eight by the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Rockingham product plans to arrive in Cleveland near the end of the month to prepare for the NBA Summer League, which begins on July 7.

“Looking forward to trying to put my best foot forward in the Summer League, which will be another unique experience, but definitely looking forward to it,” Travers said.

That's the main focus right now to show out in that little couple of days that I've got to do that. I think after that happens, we'll just pretty much go from there and whatever the team wants me to do, I'll do.”
That’s right, Lukey. You show out, king.

I wonder if he has a shot to make the Ignite...

He has some of that Wild thing way he moves his body. Like very floppy yet somehow graceful and in control

Those "from the base line, under the back board, off glass" layups he manages in that highlight video are kind of unique.

Any chance those translate to the NBA or are they just going to be blocked out of the gym?

Seems to use his body to protect the ball. I am sort of skeptical of the athleticism, but the skills look real.

If you want to catch up on his growth from a statistical perspective:

Looks like his three ball is the key to his overall growth. Solid STOCKS production. Former Providence guard Bryce Cotton is the star of the Perth team. They just missed the playoffs last season.

Took more 3s adn shot worse. Maybe he can take advantage of the time with the Cavs shooting coaches in summer league.

And he can’t exactly check in because Perth and Melbourne are about as far apart as Tampa Bay and Las Vegas.
Isn't Perth like Anchorage, on the edge of wilderness? At least it looks that way on a map.

Yeah, Western Australia. Perth itself is a large city and, from what I hear, a really cool place to visit.

The problem is there’s nothing to the east of it for thousands of miles. Pretty well separated from the rest of Australia.
