Just thought I re-activate the discussion.

It's looking now that if the Browns keep the pick then it could be Braylon Edwards. It's obvious if they stay at 3 they're going to take the highest rated available player on their board.

There's been rumors that the Vikings are high on Edwards and might want to trade up. I'd love to get both their #1's at 7 and 18.

The Browns will be working hard to trade down and acquire extra picks.

There are about five players I wouldn't object to, Edwards being one. I don't think San Fran is going with him. Miami will either go with the other QB or an RB. That puts the Browns in a nice position. Quite possibly the #1 talent on the board at the #3 pick. Not to mention that there are a good amount of teams that want one of the WRs. Its going to be an interesting weekend. I'm really thinking that it will be Edwards and Campbell in the first two rounds right now, but it could be smoke signals being put out by the FO.

I want to trade down :)

And I wouldnt' mind getting Frye over Campbell.

I want Edwards.. To have Winlsow and Edwards.. would just make me drool.

Im hoping we either go for Edwards or trade down for multiple picks to add more pieces.

the vikings need a reciever to replace moss so we should grab edwards and trade it to the vikings. perfect senario.

I'm hoping we trade down, and draft Derrick Johnson. We need a defensive stud to build around, and he's it. :D

I dont understand why people want a WR? They dont win super bowls and the best WR to ever play the game, OK, most talented to play the game, Randy Moss was traded for peanuts.

Drafting a WR is idiotic at this point, Bryant is a fine #1 and Davis and Northcutt with Winslow give us a solid core.

Trade down is the best option to get either Merriman or DJ at #7 Pollack or Brown at #24 (i think thats their second pick) and Fyre or Campbell with our second rounder.

I think most people would prefer trading down, but if we stay at #3, you take the BPA, which will likely be Edwards. Its too high to be Johnson or Merriman, IMO. I'd love to trade down and somehow get Merriman, but I'm not sure if it is even possible.

Taking either of those WRs does not help this team, so the BPA doesnt apply in this situation.

Ronnie Brown may be there as well, Id take him over either one of those WRs.

Miami is tring badely to trade out of that number two spot, and the Vikings are tring to trade in the PPhins say they will take less than a 1st round pick possibly two second round picks and a future pick in some round or something like that for that pick. I wish the Eagles would at least considering trading and taking Edwards that would be a great day they have 13 picks so they could .

mac's right. we got enought problem elsewhere, we already have enough talented recievers.

what i was thinking was what if the browns picked someone who is slated to go later in the first.

would we have to pay him #3 pick money or what he is really worth. if everyone had a player going at 17 it should be that way, but i really doubt that would happen unless the player said he would sign for a 17 pick type contract.

See thats the problem...if you pick somebody at #3, your going to have to pay them #3 money.

Which is why, even though the Browns like Merriman or DJ, they wont pick either that high because they will get stuck in that huge contract.

I think Savage is in a bad place, because Miami wants to trade down now too, and that just lowered the value of the #3 pick and Minne is just waiting to see who gives the better deal.

So even at that, Id rather trade down and get a little less in return than pick Edwards, Williams or Brown.

It's sad how much these rookies get paid, thats what killed the Browns from expansion. Stuck in the contracts of busts kills your cap.

Some are saying that Minesota is not looking to trade up. The Browns could have a tough time trying to trade down. They will probably have to take less then it would normally take to get the #3 pick because of the lack of big time talent at the top of this draft.

I don't have a problem with Edwards being chosen if that's who the Browns have as the BPA. Some have him rated as the best player in the draft.
I think the current group of WR's is being overrated. They're all #2 or #3 wideouts. The Browns don't have a #1 gamebreaking WR.

But thats not the point, a #1 WR isnt going to win you a super bowl. Not in todays NFL.

Randy Moss was traded for peanuts, the Patriots dont have a #1 WR, so I cant see why getting Edwards or Williams is going to make us better.

Fitzgerald and Boldin didnt make Arizona make the playoffs, Edwards isnt going to help us win games.

Bryant, Davis, Cutt and Winslow is a very nice core and is sufficient enough.
