WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I can only think of three possible explanations.

1. Endeavor told them to keep the belt on Roman ahead of the sale/merger

2. They finally got official word from The Rock that he'll be able to work the Head of the Table program they've always wanted to run

3.

There is really no reason to care about Roman world title matches going forward, who is even credible enough to face him? They won’t let Rollins beat him.

Roman beating Rock, Rock beating Roman literally does nothing. He's an old man/top actor in Hollywood. The win vs a 50 year old does nothing.

Ok, I guess I could see that.

Feels, to me, that maybe Cody got some sweet talking and they changed their mind in the lead up. It's possible. But if they don't believe in him, then I think that's a wise decision.

I didn't see Cody as maybe a few month transitional champ into Gunther, Seth or someone else. People talking about him as the next Cena or some shit, that's crazy.

Cody could be a top baby face in my opinion, not sure about anybody else's in here

Personally, they blew it. Cody deserved the W. He isn’t a guy to carry the company, but for him and his family, the deserved the moment.

Cody was a made man at the top of the company with a win tonight, his merch sales and reactions are off the charts.

I'm not even a Cody fan, but at some point you gotta put somebody over and make a new star, right?

WWE credibly built up three different challengers at venues that were absolutely rabid for them to go over - Drew in Wales, Sami in Montreal and Cody tonight - and opted to pass on all three.

I dunno man.
