WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
WBD is about to throw the bag at Khan, and adding AEW to their streaming would be a huge win for all parties.

Back to the original point, there's no doubt as to whether or not All In will be available for viewing. It's going to air as the biggest show in company history. MAX is just the most likely destination for it. Whether they follow suit for all other PPV remains to be seen, but that move seems likely as well with WBD gaining exclusive rights to broadcast all AEW content.

AEW makes approximately $45M annually on their current TV deal and approximately $37.5M on PPV revenue annually.

So it won't be a huge win for all parties unless WBD cuts AEW a check for significantly more than $82.5M annually.

Now maybe they will blow way past that figure, we'll just have to see.

They must be going past that figure then because they already said that WBD is getting exclusive broadcast rights to AEW programming.

That’s why they just ended the YouTube shows.

Somehow not. Because Bad Bunny doing Sliced Bread was scary as fuck.

Anyway, that Bad Bunny vs Damien Priest match was awesome.
Damien is very, very good. He’s just blah when it comes to anything non wrestling.

Not even a world champion present and they deliver a good ppv. Makes me really appreciate the yesteryear of ppvs even more growing up. Always the top guy performing, and some.

Bad Bunny is so legit. I know, home territory mega star, but just… unreal.

He’s absolutely incredible.

The States wouldn't even have lived up to these pops. Or maybe I'm still pissed at the wwe universe for giving a returning Paul Bearer in 2010 a very mid pop.

But two guys to be away for a very long time sure didn't lose their popularity.

Hearing some really big numbers thrown for the new AEW/WBD deal. Would be an exclusive deal for all programming.

Sounds like we'll probably hear something more concrete next week at WBD's Upfront on the 17th.

We’ll see where it ends up.

A billion dollars is a big eye popping number, but if it’s over 8 years that’s 125M a year, ya know?

And they are making about 82.5M annually right now from WBD on their tv deal and running their own PPVs.

So a nice increase, but not as crazy as $1B sounds.

Beyond that… the fans are the ones who are gonna be negatively impacted by this new deal the most when AEW PPV prices inevitably increase from $50 to $60 or $70 on top of having to subscribe to the streaming service for $10-$20 per month.

Believe me they’ll be going the UFC route of full price PPVs on top of the streaming monthly cost and not the current WWE route of pay for the streaming and get all the PPVs for free.

WWE will be changing their model in short order as well with their new ownership situation.

I don't really care how much they're getting. A new deal to expand primetime wrestling programming is just great news.

Everybody I've heard talk about the business side of wrestling has said the exact opposite of this.

I’m honestly really confused by your constant negativity.
