That's where I'm getting at. Cody is going to need help from a legendary 'face' to even up the numbers game. Roman has the bloodline including a legendary 'heel'.

That’s a stretch. Triple h hasn’t been booking long enough to make that assumption. There’s been zero mention of Austin at all in story line. No sign of any rock Austin feud. There’s no reason at all he’d get involved out of nowhere.

Sure there is, makes the story 10x better. A clean win makes the story bigger and more believable. Also keeps it going.
No need for Austin to get involved unless he wants to get into the ring again.

Which is why it means so much more when Cody wins. It elevates him above everyone else. He defies all the odds super cena style. And it doesn’t need to be some legend from the past that has to help him in any way. There’s plenty of current guys that would actually make storyline sense. Jay uso,Rollins, a surprise Brock return, a solo face turn.
