Your 2019 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anybody notice that Twins pitching has been slipping lately? Odorizzi, Perez, Gibson....have been starting to pitch like Odorizzi, Perez and Gibson. I heard they are really after Bumgarner.

They need another strong bullpen arm and starter, which being a smaller market like we are, may not be within what they can get. If we are close in record at the trade deadline, I feel we actually have the advantage since we have more assets available at this current moment for the stretch run.

The Twins have a great farm system, more highly touted than the Indians at the moment, and if they're willing to part with some key players they could make a run at any top player they set their eyes on.

Yeah Bradley is getting bullied in the box, he needs to do some bullying of himself to even it out though. He had some good ABs where he struck out on a full count pitch. Hopefully all goes well.
Im not a baseball guy, but he seems to have patience early on in that at bat; but then presses towards the end to see if he can make a difference. Instead of just settling for the walk.

I think the Indians could make the moves needed and equal if not exceed the twins offers for guys, just the question is do we want to? (I could be over estimating the indians farm system, but over the years feels like under the current regime the Indians have done a really good job of building a very productive farm system, better than the Twins have when it comes to making pros).

What does the Indians producing more pros from guys who were in the farm system 2+ years ago have to do with current farm systems

Just admit you made a pure guess and were wrong

Twins haven't been keeping up with the tribe because their farm system hasn't produced as well and FO haven't been making as good of trades. Twins are honestly an up and coming team talent wise overall, but Indians I feel in the last 5-6 years have produced overall better talent from the young guys they acquired and who they drafted.

Now that being said, the Indians have also been underrated for awhile when it comes to their farm system and their overall trades. We draft certain style of guys and it has been producing especially with the pitching.

Some bias is speaking through as well since I get to see the Indians more often, but look at how successful the Twins draft and international signings have been and compare it to the Indians. The Indians have been the clear victor for awhile and that isn't really a question. So I guess being bias I trust the indians scouts more than the twins overall at the end of the day.

Now either way, since I feel both the Twins and the Indians need a legit setup guy/a stronger bullpen arm, Who is willing to trade a higher/better prospect? That we will have to see in due time.

I'm fairly certain that, if we buy, it won't be for a bullpen arm.

We currently have the #1 Bullpen ERA in baseball.

The rest of your take is awful as well. That Twins farm system you want to shit on is currently whooping your team's ass in the standings.

I’m old enough to remember when some of our baseball knowledge GODS around here said Carlos Santana was meh.....

We have the number 1 bullpen ERA in baseball, but we don't have a setup man Francona trusts to close out games hence why Hand was pitching so much. If we are going for the playoffs, I do not trust our bullpen to succeed even if their ERA is good. Most of our starters lately have been having quality starts lately which also takes some pressure off the bullpen since they haven't had to eat a ton of innings. Twins also have a solid bullpen overall, but still are lacking an arm or two. I don't want to go into the post season without a legit setup man and that is something we don't have right now in my mind. Wittgren has a 5.17 ERA in his last 15 games, but a 3.26 ERA Overall so he hasn't been strong. We don't have a setup guy honestly, we just have solid arms.

Also how many guys in the bigs right now have the Indians produced and the Twins produced? Most of the twins pitching staff aren't players they developed themselves and right now that is what I was saying that the Indians overall have produced more just big league players. Twins right now have a higher rated farm, but the group thats coming up right now is vastly underrated overall and guys not even getting ranked in the organizations top and being solid in the big leagues like Plesac show it.

I'm not saying the Twins will end up producing better major leaguers. I'm just saying their current minor league crop is more highly rated than the Indians', and therefore they have the ability to offer up better packages in theoretical trades. Whether or not they pull the trigger is a different story, but they have more bullets in the chamber than we do.

Also, I think you're underestimating what their farm system has produced in recent years. Polanco, Rosario, Buxton, Kepler, Berrios, and Gibson are all products of the Twins drafting and International signings. That's at least as good as the homegrown talent the Indians currently have in the majors, if not better.

Pretty sure it were the GODS that said he was good.

I'm fairly certain the baseball knowledgeables were defending Santana for his fantastic OBP% while the casual was saying he sucks because he's only batting .230
