anyone hear how serious it is?

can never tell... you will just have to wait until they tell the media. Sprains can keep you out for a month or a day... all depends on how severe

I would be shocked if he didn't miss several games with that injury. It looked really bad on the replay. This is what I feared as I am not comfortable with our big man depth.

If it was so awful he would not have walked off on his own though

Well, if it's a minor sprain, we do have only 2 games in the next week.

The ESPN reporter said they put his ankle right into a bucket of ice and did not take X-rays. I assume that's to immediately reduce the initial swelling.

He walked/limped off the court, which is better than it might have been.

Looked pretty bad. Given Z's injury history of the past, I wouldn't be surprised if he's put on the shelf for a week.

I don't think it was too bad. He looked okay walking on it. Doesn't look like a 10+ game injury to me, but we'll just have to wait for an update.

i broke my ankle doing the exact same thing a couple of years ago an I was at least able to badly limp on it and drive on it for the next day before i was able to get to a hospital.

that said he looked a lot better than I ever did. I could see him missing a couple of games max but the fact that he was able to walk okay leads me to believe he will be back sooner rather than later.

We'll have to wait until we hear more, but the fact that they didn't x-ray it right away, considering Z's age and history of foot injuries (I know the ankle isn't exactly the foot) is a good sign. It was also a good sign that he was able to walk off without too much of a limp. Now, that can change tomorrow. But right now, I'll look on the bright side and say that he will be out the rest of the week. Maybe next week, but the way he walked off and the way the Cavs are treating it, according to ESPN, leads me to beleive it wasn't a serious sprain (although it looked pretty bad).

Real smart for a 7 footer jumping as high as possible to contest a three with bad feet/knees.....

what the hell Z was play good team defense what do you expect from him....

and its been years since he has had bad problems with his feet.

I sprained my ankle trying to jump over a table, it wasnt a terrible sprain but Z sure walked easier than I did :chuckles:

I did look pretty bad, and we will struggle if he has to miss signifcant time. We would have no scoring bigs.....

You can already see we missed Boobie in this game.....
