2015 Draft Prospects

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wanted Mariotta, really doubt we go QB again after just using a first on Johnny. I just can't imagine that happening.

So since I can't have Mariotta I want the best pass rusher in this draft. I'd package both 1sts to get him. The defense is really solid, they just need that game changing playmaker. I'd go Williams, or we could just drop a Fuckton and sign Sub.

There are a TON of top flight pass rushers in this draft, we should be able to get one without having to move up. If we trade up I would expect it to be for Cooper, and it might be just about time we went out and made a major move like that.

I like Greene at FSU at Wr in round 2. Not flashy, but scouts think he can be a number 2 Wr from day one. Also both kids from Auburn D.Williams and Sammy Coats have a chance to be very solid. After Cooper and perhaps Parker, not sure another guy deserves being picked in the mid to late teens. I am hoping Ray from Mizzou drops to the Buffalo pick if they lose out.
Would rather wait till round 2, and spend the first round picks on OLB or DT or OT. WR can wait till round 2. I also hear that a guy like Cecil Shorts could be had pretty cheap in free agency as a number 3 or 4 guy.

I would not spend a pick in the teens on Funches. Too much talent on the defensive side in the teens.Could many guys in rounds 2-3 having as good or better NFL careers then Funches.

Doriel Green-Beckham and Kevin White could both go top-20, and there's no chance Shane Ray drops out of the top-10.

Agree we should go OLB/DL with our first two picks though, there's plenty of good options at WR that will fall to the 2nd round.

There are several pass rushers coming out, I just don't see all of them as the type of game changing talent. We have several good defenders. I'm looking for that elite one to put us over the top. To me that's Williams.

I hope you're right Chris, I think he'll be special. I just can't see it happening, even if Johnny plays all 3 games like this.

If Mariota is that good he'll be long gone by the time the Browns make their first pick. And if he is that good no team in a position to take him will trade out of that pick. To paraphrase Van Halen: Dream another dream, that dream is over.

He's going to be a top 3 pick...

I'm well aware of all of this.

Trying to keep the dream alive regardless. Remember, Ray Farmer is a Mariota guy. He wanted him last year.

We'll trade up for him! Make them an offer they can't refuse!

Unless the Browns absolutely fall in love with a QB prospect, I doubt we take one early.

Now if they fall in love with Mariota, they could always put a crazy offer together. Two first round picks in 2015 is a start. But that is risky.

See Washington.

Pretty much. Super risky. Not sure I'm willing to stomach it.

Then I think of how we have top 5 picks every year and still suffer through embarrassments like this year after year, and I say, "Do it, son."

Seriously even in the more recent regimes look at our first round picks. Some stand out players like Mack and Haden, and also some really mediocre ones. If we hit on 1st rounders year after year I'd be way more hesitant to trade a bunch of picks, but man if you think Mariota is the guy I'd trade a lot to get him.

Well you better start trying to convince Tampa that re-uniting Mike Evans and Manziel is what dreams are made of. :chuckle: Along with some firsts.

I would want o shore up our O-Line and Run Defense. We have never been lucky with a QB in over a decade of trying so why try it again ? Lets improve what we can.

How many top flight guys have we taken since 1999?

I mean, when you keep going to has beens, backups, and guys taken in the third round and none of them work out, is it really that surprising? Couch and Quinn, I guess...but the latter dropped in the draft for a reason.
