Amar'e Safari 2015 Reboot - Fooled Thrice

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

The problem is who will we get next trade deadline? Last few seasons it's always this crap about how we are good enough just as we are and that we can do this with another expiring next year?. Guess what, LBJ and mo will get old during this chemistry ring collecting (+ Shaq and Z will retire). Get that young stud now!

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

Just by the sound of it, it doesn't seem like Phx is to eager to make a trade soon.

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

Pat Riley is playing mind games. He knows Cavs have other options, so he told the Suns that he will find a 3rd team to give them more assets. He knows that Cavs can't wait until the last hour of the deadline. So, if he stalls it, Cavs go a different direction, and the Suns have no choice but to trade Amare to the Heat, Pat you fucking bastard!!!

He is a smart bastard indeed.

Of course they're making it sound like that.

There are reports that they will decide on our offer today.

I really really hope so. The longer it looms, the less of a chance we have of getting him. At his point I can't even picture us without him.

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

I think I'm leaving the Amare Safari. It's just too good to be true. As people mentioned before, Pat Riley's stalling for time that Danny Ferry can't afford to wait. The likelihood of this deal happening is probably like 5% at this point, whereas before Marc Stein wrote that article it was probably like 75%....

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

I think we're in a better position than people think. Phoenix is going to take our deal today if Miami doesn't have a reasonable idea involving a third team. It's easy to say you're gonna find a third team to make the deal work, it's much more difficult to pull it off. We have a "fair," sure thing on the table. The Suns aren't gonna pass it up unless they are almost 100% sure they can get another cap-clearing move, which isn't likely.

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

Ummm... you are aware the fans don't actually play in the games, right? It's OK if we look past teams that can't beat us.

Miami can't beat us. Not without Amare. Not with Amare. And not even if the fans "overlook" them.

It's a karma thing.

The Suns want to wait it out until 2:59. The Heat will keep searching until 2:59 for a third team. But by around 6 tonight, Ferry's going to give up if Kerr wants to stall more.

I think the Heat end up with Amare....theyll find a 3rd team soon...

Although his recent trade history may indicate otherwise, Kerr is plenty smart enough to sniff this out if it were the case.

The Suns, Cavs and Heat all have a pretty good idea of who the Heat would be able to land via a three way. It's not like Riley can trick Kerr into thinking he's going to land them Kevin Durant if they wait a few extra days.

I think people get way too into the whole "smokescreen" thing. For the most part these are intelligent guys running teams. They know when they are being yanked around.

It's in the Suns best interest to wait as long as possible to make a deal. If the Cavs have the best offer, they will realize this and accept it.

as of the moment the suns are getting an expiring contract and a nice prospect. i would also wait and see if a better offer comes along for a perrenial all star if i were kerr. it really wouldnt bother me how many RCF followers had blue balls.
