Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton

I would wager on another 10-day contract for Uzoh. I mean, why not?

Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton

Needs to also be about fit with what the Cavs need and how they want to play going forward. Harris is putting up numbers in the D league style of play where he has more freedom and can look to be a scorer. With the Cavs and in the NBA he's only a role player who has to do the other things better than just look to be a scorer.
I'd hang onto Uzoh. I think the Cavs see him as a better fit and he will help fill a need after Sessions gets traded.

Cavs also probably prefer having a bigger body available for depth with Harangody. With Gibson and Parker back very soon, there just won't be minutes available for Harris.

I really don't see the benefit in playing Parker anything significant. I'd like for both Manny and Uzoh to get an extended look at this point. Until Andy gets back, we have enough bigs with TT, Erdin, Samardo, Hollins, and AJ that Harangody doesn't need to take up a roster spot. We know 100% what we have with Luke, and that ain't much. We can't say that for sure about Manny Harris. I just can't see any rationale to keeping Harangody over Manny. I understand Manny has been a scorer, but that doesn't mean he isn't worth a look to see if he can adapt to this system. Does it really hurt anything at all at this point in time?

Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton

Former #Cavs guard Manny Harris registered 46 points, 9 boards, 6 assists, 4 steals in Canton Charge win tonight. He was 17-of-30 from field

you don't keep this sort of production in the NBADL when you have Anthony "friggin" Parker as your starting 2

his line tonight in a 135-132 win
36 points, 9 boards, 6 assists, 3 steals

we get outscored by 21 points in the first quarter against the Heat .Think we could use Manny.

Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton

Another nice game tonight for Manny, 36 pts, 9 reb, 6 assts, 14-24FG

I watched for a few minutes, he is slightly stronger than last year (but could still use another 15 lbs), I thought I would see a ball hog, but he seemed to let the game come to him, a couple nice drive all the way to the rim late in the game...and even finished at the rim, which I remember being an issue last year...but the overall defense was awful, so hard to get too excited, but I'd love to see him get another shot with the Cavs.

PAY DA MAN

Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton

should I bring a "SIGN MANNY" sign to the game tomorrow?

Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton

There is really no reason why he is still in the DLeague and we are putting the likes of Casspi and Harangody and even Eyenga out in a Cavs uniform. Manny should be showing us what he can do in the NBA against real talent.

Do you want to bring a "SIGN MANNY" sign tomorrow?

It's not like management is going to be tallying up the number of Manny Harris signs in attendance :chuckles:.

Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton

I'm glad this guy is rotting away in Canton while we have shitty Ben Uzoh on our team, along with over-the-hill Ramon Sessions.

25 is over the hill?

Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton

i've wanted see if Manny could develop since we added him last year. He's gotta be better than the garbage players the cavs are currently using...i don't know what's taking them so long to bring him in from Canton and see what he's got.

Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton

In RCF land, it is.

I can't understand what some folks on here expect from this team. The word for the season is REBUILD. The fact that we're having conversations about 8th seed is a bonus, and irrelevant because it's highly unlikely we end up there.

Sessions is desired by many teams around the league and would be a great fit for many contending teams as a back-up PG and spot starter. He's a valuable asset for us. Manny Harris putting up big numbers in D-League while teams watch him doing it. What does that say? You want to get rid of a valuable asset and quality PG in this league for a guy that not one team is picking up?

Folks need to calm down and find the silver linings as we spend another season or two reworking this entire team. As I've said before, in 2 years from now, I'm guessing only 3-4 guys from this year's team will remain.
